A comfortable stay; 15km-bicycle ride from the Dover-Dunkirk ferry terminal; easy buses to Dunkirk.

Julie, the host, was friendly and easy to communicate with in advance. Also, her cats are very entertaining. I had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. The free buses were extremely convenient for visiting central Dunkirk.

The written communication between us was in French, which was okay for me. It could be more difficult for a traveler who doesn't speak any French. Though there is translation possible with the phone.

A comfortable stay on Dunkirque

The host was very charming. The arrangement was to arrive at 18:00, I knocked on the door and was welcomed inside. Shown my room - up a quite steep set of stairs and then shown the downstairs bathroom, which is shared with the host The bed was comfortable. There were lots of available power points in the room. Tea making facilities were provided A basic French breakfast was served at the time requested. A house key was provided so you could come and go as you pleased. Parking was very convenient both in front and at the side of the property. Considering the cost per night, it was exactly what I expected, it will not get start ratings but for the warmth of the welcome and the " home comforts", well worth the price. I would have no hesitation in staying again. The booking suggested a 50 euro deposit was needed - that was not the case, in fact the host was surprised when I offered it before she asked.

There is nothing that comes to mind. The district of Dunkirque was very quiet - I expected that as it was the weekend.

Sød og imødekommende værtinde. Beliggenhed. Ok værelse men lidt lille.

At værelse var på 1 sal og toilet i stueetagen. Morgenmaden var kedeligt og brød ikke frisk. Kaffe og frugt var godt. Huset var meget misvedligeholdt og haven ligeså.
