    Even though it is a boutique hotel, we decided to give it a try based on Hyatt’s reputation. The location in Fitzroy was also very appealing. Overall, the stay was acceptable, and even the compact room size was not an issue since we were already aware of it before booking. The most unpleasant part was the smell in the corridor - it had that distinctive odor of cheaply laundered towels, which was quite off-putting throughout our stay. In addition, the cleanliness of the room was disappointing. Despite staying for three nights, the bed sheets were never changed. The bathroom, including the shower area, did not feel properly cleaned from the beginning, and even the rug on the floor felt dirty. Although the hotel is marketed as a five-star property, it felt more like a five-star motel. It seemed that more attention was given to making the rooms look cute and modern rather than maintaining the basic standards expected from a hotel. Considering the price, I do not think it offers good value for money. That said, if your main priority is exploring Fitzroy, the location is excellent.
