The White Lion Hotel with Free Parking, 1 Minute Walk to Yate Shopping Centre & Onsite Italian Restaurant

The room was spacious and very clean perfect for a quick stay and we were able to control the room’s temperature which was perfect

Wasn’t a big fan of the communal bathroom and didn’t seem very clean at all. I know it’s everyone’s responsibilities to keep it clean, but it looks like it needed a proper maintenance clean that shouldn’t be the guests job. Plus very cold

Ideal for the centre of Yate.

A little overpriced.

Pillows were to low/soft

The location was great and the Italian Restaurant was really welcoming with great food

The access is all via door codes and ours hadn’t arrived prior to check in, despite us having early check in available as we’re genius customers on Booking.com, so we had to chase this up. The room was very small. The bed was up against the wall so you had to climb over the other person to get to the bathroom. The bed was uncomfortable as the mattress was very hard. The shower was very compact, dirty grout and so small in terms of headroom and I’m only 5ft 5”! The heated towel rail didn’t appear to have any controls. There was no mirror to be able to do your hair/review your outfit. Just stuck on mirror tiles on wall behind the bed. The windows are not very noise insulating and heard people outside at 3am talking. There are multiple signs within the room that duplicate messaging, which felt unnecessary. I’m sure that with a bit of attention to detail this could have been a much better stay. Seems a lot of investment in Electronic key code access, so a faceless checkin and not much else in terms of guest comfort. Given the cost it didn’t reflect value for money!
