Splav MS

We had an excellent stay at Splav MS. The location is beautiful, right on the river/lake, with a peaceful atmosphere that was perfect for relaxing. We loved swimming directly from the dock, using the paddle boards and kayak, and simply enjoying the scenery. The deck is actually larger than it shows in the photos, with plenty of space to lounge, including comfortable lounge chairs and two swings. The floating cabin is compact but very thoughtfully designed. It has everything you need, including a fully functional kitchen, a bedroom with bunk beds, a comfortable sofa bed and a barbecue on the dock. The host was outstanding. He was very responsive, met us on arrival and made sure we found the property without any issues. He also gave us great recommendations for things to see in the area. We highly recommend taking one (or both) of the boat tours he offers. We did the tour to the canyons and the downstream rafting tour, and both were highlights of our trip. Having a barbecue prepared on the boat made the experience even more memorable.

There wasn’t really anything we disliked. Just a few things to know before your stay. The floating house isn’t clearly marked from the road, so it may not be obvious which one is Splav MS when you first arrive. However, the host met us and guided us to the property, so finding it was easy. Also, the tap water is not potable, so plan to bring drinking water with you. If you need more, the host is happy to provide fresh spring water from a nearby source, which we really appreciated.

There is a super small separate bedroom which is not on the photo: it has one mattrass on the floor, and bunk bed without any stairs! it will NOT be comfortable for grown-ups. Also there is no kettle due to low possible electricity load, the same with any other comfy thing like hairdryer. Only 2 sockets for all people (and the house is meant for 6 people!). There is gas stove there, you need to light it with gas-lighter and only one ring there functions. Some others give enormous smell of gas. Tyres attached to the house-platform get squeezed and obviously make loud sounds all the time.
