Cozy 60's home, city & canal located

The highlight for us was definitely the location — it was absolutely amazing being right on the canal. Having direct access meant we were able to dock a boat easily, which made the whole experience even more special and convenient.

It would be nice to have an air fryer 😅

The location is superb, just a 5 minute walk from numerous bars and restaurants. Whilst the house is a little bit dated and tired, it has everything you need, it is spacious, has large flat screen TV’s in the 3 bedrooms and Lounge, with a lovely pool and garden area at the rear, backing onto a canal. We had a couple of small issues with the property, on our arrival, and contacted the owner, who immediately responded and resolved the issues to our satisfaction and encouraged us to contact him if we had any further issues - first class owner 👏

A little bit tired and dated, but is clean and considerably less expensive than other similar houses in the area, so well worth the cost, for what the house offers 😊

The property has a lovely beachy look from the outside, and the lounge is spacious and open-plan, with a very comfortable sofa and a large TV offering Netflix and YouTube Live TV. The glazed doors leading to the outside seating area provide good light, although they are quite old and difficult to open and close. The kitchen is well equipped with plenty of utensils, a kettle, and other essentials, but it is very dated and would benefit from refurbishment. Similarly, the two main bedrooms are in need of updating. The beds, side cupboards, and blinds are tired and would be improved with replacement and repainting. On a positive note, both rooms had TVs, and the overall cleanliness of the house was good, though the décor and fittings are showing their age. The main bathroom requires attention, as it is old, in need of repainting, and the shower curtain was not properly fixed. The third bedroom, converted from a garage, was difficult to use comfortably as the air conditioning did not reach this room effectively, making it uncomfortably hot at night. The outside area was a highlight, with a nice pool, new outdoor furniture, and space to relax by the dockside, although there was some general clutter around. Unfortunately, the washing machine was not working during our stay, so we had to use a laundromat. The owner was very responsive and helpful, even offering the use of a neighbour’s machine, which we appreciated, but by that point we had already managed our laundry elsewhere. Overall, the house has a great beach theme and good potential, but it does require significant updating to reach the standard we would expect for future rentals.

Überdachte Terrasse, auch wenn es mal regnet, kann man gemütlich draußen sitzen. Pool ohne Dach - hat uns viel besser gefallen, als in einem Cage versteckt zu schwimmen.

Die Küche ist samt Zubehör schon etwas älter und auch eine der Matratzen ist schon etwas durchgelegen. Aber das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis stimmt und insgesamt haben wir uns sehr wohl gefühlt!!
