Victoria Cottage

This little gem of a cottage is ideally situated to explore Barnard Castle. The property is well furnished, all amenities catered for, a lovely secluded back yard where we could enjoy the morning and evening sunshine in or out of the hot tub. A well equipped kitchen, spacious bedroom, comfy lounge, spotless bathroom.

We were worried at some of the noises the hot tub made and it tended to spit out boiling hot water occasionally rather than a smooth stream of warm water. That said we made the most of it :-)

Such a beautiful little place! The place was immaculate! Highly recommend for a quiet cosy little break! Would definitely return :)

Nothing it was perfect

The property was so nice, we both loved it! We loved the little bar area outside and the hot tub was really good. It was very well equipped with everything that you would need. The kitchen has everything you need I was very impressed with it. Even the amount of dishwasher tablets and toilet paper was great. I’ve stayed plaves where there is only one of each so you need to go out and buy more which is added unwanted expense on your break but this cottage had more than enough of everything. Loved it here!

Although the mattress was comfortable, it was really annoying that we couldn’t lie near eachother and cuddle in bed as we would fall into the centre gap. That isn’t a major issue to some people but for us, we usually spoon in bed 😂
