Overall it could be a great property if a little more attention to details and privacy so we felt it was overpriced comp

It was well located for beaches, walks, choice of supermarkets, places of interest including The Eden Project, where we were attending a concert.

Lack of privacy. The main living area was overlooked by the owners’ upstairs, so we could be seen through the patio doors,there were no blinds or curtains over the front door so everyone going up the driveway ( which were quite frequent) could see right in.Also the garden area is not fully fenced off , so again anyone visiting the main house walks/drives right past. So we felt on show all the time we were there. Lack of storage- we have stayed in a few similar sized properties which had plenty of storage but we had nowhere to hang or put clothes, there was limited storage in the kitchenette area too and due to a very tiny worktop we accidentally turned the hob on a few times and couldn’t fit much on the draining board as it was also tiny. Generally the accommodation was very clean, however when we arrived we took two mugs out to make a cuppa but one of the mugs had been put away without being washed so obviously not checked which wasn’t great for first impressions. There was also a stain on the bed sheet which although we felt the bedding was clean, again felt it shouldn’t be used if stained.

This was the 3rd time staying at the lodge! It’s exceptional! I literally can’t fault anything about it! Dave and Lena are so accommodating and friendly! It’s a perfect location!

Excellent stay

The property is new class and super clean, really good to stay with all the necessary elements to use. There is documentations provided with all the activities to do around, places and beaches & Taxi contacts numbers… Erything provided and explained how to use and were to find things at home, this was surprisingly excellent. Also really well located with all the amenities. There is Asda near by. We really enjoyed staying here, we will be definitely back 😉

Must try this property

The property is amazing for 2 people, exceptionally clean and in a great location. If you have an electric car there is a charge point in the parking bay. very cleverly sectioned off from the main house so you have privacy. there is a small garden with table and chairs so you can sit out which gets sun all day The owners leave a guide to help you find places to visit and to eat, we used this several tines times This is our second visit and we will visit again, the owners are lovely and if you need anything they will help

David and Lena are fab hosts

Loved the cleanliness and the quality of the furnishings. The hosts were super helpful and went above and beyond. However, EV charger didn’t work and the shower also didn’t (either freezing cold or scalding hot). The duvet was too thick for my liking - the lodge is very warm. It felt super insulated.

Amazing stay

The place was lovely, clean, and had everything we needed. It was in a great location, not too far from some great places to visit. The host provided an amazing guide with all things to help you enjoy your stay, things such as great places to eat, taxi numbers etc Bed was very comfortable

My only criticism could have done with an iron, but in the grand scheme of things, that is nothing

Wonderful stay. Cosy and warm. Nice and secluded.

The Location is excellent. Easy access to all the attractions. Private parking with a charging point. Wood burner. Asda, Aldi, Tesco, KFC, McDonalds, all within a couple of miles. Nice bed. Fully opening bifold doors onto west facing veranda. Highly Recommended.

A curtain behind the front door and side window to use at night, or some opaque glass in the panels.
