Goni Guest House

We had a lovely stay at Goni's Guest House! The owners were so friendly and welcoming. They offer breakfast, lunch and/or dinner for an optional extra cost at a very good price. The meals were delicious, hearty, fresh and homemade, including many of their ingredients (jam, yoghurt, butter, bread). Our room was clean and electric heater in the room was nice for the chilly nights! The bathroom is basic but has hot shower. In terms of location, I would recommend doing your shop for snacks and any essentials (especially before hiking the Zagoria Valley) BEFORE arriving in Peshtan - the village has no shop and the closest shop is a 2 hour walk away (either Tepelene or Kercyre). I also recommend calling the owner when you arrive at Peshtan's village centre - the house is tricky to find, they came and picked us up and took us on a narrow windy trail path (no disabled-access). Google translate is useful too for communication. Overall, a lovely homely stay with the owners, their daughter and grandson! Faleminderit! :)

Our only feedback is that some brighter lightbulbs in the bedroom would be nice.

Власники старша пара, дуже милі і привітні. Всі коментарі стосовно того що в них почуваєшся як в своїх дідуся з бабцею це правда. Я сам начебто повернувся в дитинство коли відвідував своїх рідних в селі. Чудовий побут серед справжніх живих людей і їх буденних справ. Житло чисте і охайне. Щодо коментарів про галас зранку, ми боялись що це буде дійсно заважати але найголосніший був лише півень і то його голос знову ж таки навіював приємні дитячі спогади.

Нажаль вони не спілкуються англійською і це дещо утруднювало комунікацію, але на жестах і перекладачу в телефоні ми могли порозумітись. Якщо б ми так провели там місяць то вже б заговорили албанською :) Другий дещо мінус це те що тяжко знайти, особливо в темряві йдучи цими стежинками мимовільно зʼявляються фантазії як в фільмах жахів про студентів (але фінал тут буде хороший)
