Extremely well situated, close to all of the major tourist sites in the city, and with good access to restaurants, bars etc. Nice balcony with views along the street, always something to watch. Nico responsive to questions.
The kitchen had not been thoroughly cleared for some time - my wife found store cupboard food many years past its use-by dates. The shower did not drain properly,, indicating that there was a cleaning issue there too. The second toilet did not work properly - the water supplying it had been turned off at a stopcock, presumably because of an issue.
There was little if any information about the apartment or its features and equipment.

Just an overall lovely place that accommodated our family very well. When you visit Catania in the summer, you need a place that has excellent air conditioning and the option to shutter windows during the day to keep things cool, and Nico’s House had both. The location was excellent, and the views from balcony were lovely. Nico was responsive over WhatsApp, and was helpful securing us a taxi to the airport on our departure day. We would absolutely stay here again.
There were no issues of significance. It’s worth knowing that you need to walk up roughly 4 flights of stairs to reach the apartment. For our family, this was not an issue, and is often the case in Catania.
