The room was private with its own bathroom, as described. However, the bathroom required climbing a steep ladder into the attic space — a practical consideration for any pilgrim arriving tired after a long day’s walk. For the price paid of €117, the overall experience was poor value compared to many other stops along the GR65. Luggage and personal belongings were required to be stored in a communal area, with only essentials permitted in the room via a plastic container, presumably as a precaution against bed bug contamination — a policy I have not encountered elsewhere. The evening meal (served in a underwhelming kitchen/dining area), while homemade, did not match the cost. I raised no comments at the time as the atmosphere did not feel conducive to feedback. Other pilgrims on the Chemin may find warmer and better-priced hospitality along the route.
