Vang Vieng Global Hostel

Loved our stay here. Room was massive. Beds extremely comfortable, slept so well every night. Location was very good, near the night market and lots of restaurants. Staff were incredible, Anna was so friendly and welcoming. She helped us so much with organising activities. Pool was also amazing. Breakfast delicious too. Shower pressure was very good. Highly recommend staying here, had the best time.

Blinds weren’t blackout, so a lot of light comes in, in the mornings and next to a club, so loud music till midnight. This didn’t bother us but something to bear in mind.

The guy who runs the hotel is lovely. Rooms were clean, had everything you need. Great location couldn't be any better located

Anna is great and she helped us a lot to book activities and guide us to explore vang vieng, the hostel is well located in the heart of the city centre. The room is spacious and good view.

The noise from a bar nearby until midnight. If you sleep early it might be a problem and the hostel is old and not well equipped so I think that’s why it’s kinda cheap

The rooms were very nice and clean, and the staff were always friendly and welcoming. The only downside with the rooms is that there’s a bar nearby with loud parties every night, and the room is not soundproof. You can also hear roosters early in the morning.

Despite the great facilities and lovely staff, we still ended up feeling quite let down by the overall service provided. The hotel sells activities at extremely inflated prices, and the quality doesn’t match what is promised. We paid 220,000 for train tickets that actually cost 117,000. On top of that, the pickup was very late, and we nearly missed the train. The main reason for the low rating is that, although the receptionist is very sweet, she oversells everything with promises like “on-time pickup” and “two hours of kayaking during sunset.” In reality, the pickup was almost 30 minutes late, the kayaking lasted less than an hour, and there was no sunset in sight. It would also have been helpful if the staff informed us about the strict, airport-style security check at the train station. You’re not allowed to bring anything sharp—not even scissors—or everyday items like hairspray. We would much rather have taken the bus, and if we ever take the train again, we’ll be buying our own tickets through the LCR app. For activities, we highly recommend looking elsewhere. You’ll likely find much better experiences at a far more reasonable price. Also the wifi was not working, at all!!
