Letterkenny Wild Atlantic Apartments

Did not like the location - whilst it was close to town we drove. I did not like the dark dingy basement you arrive into or the immediate surrounds. Very old lift to access apartment floor.

Location as fine

Communication was poor. Called day before to say they would share the check in details. Told us to use the number they called from. When arrived tried to contact them and no answer. After 3pm called another number in booking.com and they then sent details. Door was smashed at entrance and was not locked by access code.

Great apartment.. Although it was difficult to get into the apartment as they were no code given to me as to where the key was.. On pulling up to the apartment it looks very shabby from the outside with a smashed door.. Didn't do the apartments much justice.. When we did get into the apartment it was very spacious and clean.. Would stay again good value for money and close to all amenities.

To have 2 different prices on the same app 618€ which I paid on 14/12and 432€ on20/12after payment taken by booking.com and booking accused the property of changing prices which is not true and refused to match prices so my advice is to search for the site for Atlantic apartments and avoid dealing with booking.com

It was clean.

A quick summary on our stay ...We arrived to a large clean apartment and as I do in every hotel room we stay in I checked for any dangers for my young daughter.We found the patio door exiting onto the 3rd floor balcony damaged and we couldn't close it.I contacted housekeeping and she forced it closed but it is broken and didn't close 100%.I asked her for a key to lock it and was put on the phone to a man who said he had no keys for the balcony doors as they can't be opened from the outside..but I was more concerned about my daughter getting out onto a rickety balcony as anyone with kids would be.He said he couldn't help till the next day so we wedged the bed up against the door for the night. On the same night the fire alarm went off in the entire building..we got everyone up and ready to leave and I popped down to see if others had left and there was a large group in the lobby but no smell of smoke.I contacted the number on my reservation and was directed to a mobile which I called.I spoke to a lady and she said she'd see what she could do.She asked me to relay what was happening on the alarm system and told me she'd call me back to input a code to cancel the alarm.I did this even though its hardly the job of a guest and then the fire services arrived and said there was nothing to report.We went back to our apartment and tried to settle back for the night.On our second night the loud music and people talking and singing and shouting loudly started at approx 3.30 and this carried on till almost 7am.Our youngest has special needs and as a result she was awake listening to all the noise so we were up for the day then,meaning the plans we had for the Saturday in Letterkenny had to be cancelled as we were all exhausted. We were watching young people arrive to the building off the main street during the night and as there is no secure working door on the ground floor they just walked right in.

I believe the place is under new ownership, it sounded like I was in touch with a call centre in India. I was told I could check in at 3pm but I was left waiting and no call to let me know the room was ready. I ended up having to call back close on 6pm to finally be told the room was ready. If I wasn't tired I'd have driven back home. It ruined the weekend. I have stayed here in the past and the guy who I dealt with was Irish,local I believe and any requests I asked answered swiftly without delay even in short notice booking. I will avoid this place in the future.

Great communication with owner, with very clear and easy to follow directions for entry. Underground safe parking secure building with keypad entry to corridors. Beautiful spacious apartment, 2 good sized bedrooms with 2 single beds, spotless, one with lovely ensuite. Spacious bathroom, small compact very well equipped kitchen, oven, hobs, fridge, microwave, kettle and toaster, even washing machine. Lovely spacious living room very large couch, dining table and chairs. Big TV. WiFi. Lovely good quality bed linen, towels. Lovely balcony - cold and wet when we were there, but reckon fantastic in summer evenings. There was lots of places nearby to eat or even better supermarkets to buy food and cook.

There was absolutely not you couldn't like in this apartment.

Very central location. The apartment was spacious. One bedroom had an on-suit bathroom which was an unexpected bonus.

The accommodation showed slight signs of ware and tear, which should be rectified.

My 2 14yr old met 2 young men in the corridor then later that night they were trying the handle n rapping the door. My husband had to go out to them. Didn't like that the bottom door was left permanently open I think 300 euro is a lot to ask for a deposit, it came straight out of our account but mightnt ho back in for up to 5 days

Fantastic apartments - very spacious, spotlessly clean, well equipped and beautiful bathrooms. Excellent location close to everything in the town and extremely comfortable. Very secure and safe. Lots of private parking. Highly recommend!

Couldn’t fault anything!

We were in apartment 4 and it was beautiful, clean and spacious, close to everything and the heating was on for us when we got there. We went as a family of 5 and we all had a great experience and we'll definitely stay there again.

Tha apartment building was easy to find and parking was straightforward. Location was great with an easy walk into town. The apartment was comfortable and a great size for 2 people. Our host was responsive and helped sort out the little problem we had.

Just a small thing so we are not really complaining - while there is a basic level of cooking utensils we would have liked a few more. Likewise to make it easier for us to wash up behind us a dishbrush and obvious teatowel and bench cloth would have been helpful.

Good location clean underground parking & tv channels which was a bonus along with sugar/milk & shower sachets as we only needed a base as we were visiting a sick relative in hospital. Apartment had everything we needed for a family of 4 & both bedrooms were perfect and apartment has large balcony

Exceptionally clean and tidy. Lots of space and well stocked. The beds were comfy and the apartment was so spacious! A great stay

Not being informed hot water was not working until we arrived on site. Being told it would be fixed within 2 days and it wasn't. Having to use another apartment for showers and halfway through our holiday having to move to another apartment completely.

Location was brilliant host was very helpful in all a trouble free stay
