The parking was a nightmare and took 2 hours to find On the eve of arrival Our apartment also needed bed side lamps and ideally a smart tv

The host was great and was able to meet me a little earlier, which was so helpful as I hadn’t slept in over 24 hr. You’re on the top floor so you get a great view over the roof tops but keep in mind if you have mobility issues. It’s beautiful old building in the historic Jewish quarter so, no there isnt an elevator, it’s not that kind of place and it would ruin the feel of it. Lots of cooking facilities but with so many food options I wanted to try it didn’t get much use from me. Great for a solo traveller or couple. Massive TV It’s an easy walk from the station but you can take the bus (110,106). The apartment has everything you need and can easily walk to all the main spots in Ortigia. The food market is a must and the sandwich shop on the end of the road with the stalls will fill you. The beach is close by. Every morning I’d go get coffee and walk there. Best cafe for take away was viola bakery - coffee was the best. Nice view of the cathedral if you sit outside but not the sunniest. Waters and clear and turquoise. I typically stuck to the beaches on the east side in the morning. Pebbles and lots of sea glass. Small sandy one with a dock on the west side which is an ideal spot for watching the sunset (or the thousands of fish).

The title of the property mentioned a terrace but with no photos I assumed it was a mistake. No matter as it wasn’t a priority. Good news is there is one which is ideal for drying clothes. But could do with a little TLC to realise it’s potential. A few hrs works clearing some of the left over renovation materials, a random mop/bucket and parasol would make it perfect. Pop a little table and chairs out there and it’s the ideal sun trap - albeit I was out in the city when it got the sun. There is one chair in the apartment which I’d use on the little balcony and you could take out there but not a second if you are a couple. Couple of tiny touch ups in the quiet season but nothing too drastic - the photos are very accurate. Otherwise it would have been a 10. Tv seemed to be connected by aerial and couldn’t work out how to put it on the internet so I could connect my phone and stream. Again not a problem but a little thing that would be a bonus - as would a full length mirror.

Appartamento veramente carino, situato in un’ottima posizione e arredato con gusto.

- Il servizio offerto da Wonderful Italy in primis (ad esclusione di Simone il ragazzo che ci ha accolti). Sono stato contattato il giorno prima per fissare il check in, fissato per le 15:00 ma con l’accordo di risentirci nel caso in cui fossimo arrivati prima, cosa è avvenuta, ma ai due numeri che mi era stati indicati non rispondeva nessuno. Fortunatamente il ragazzo che ci era stato assegnato ci ha chiamato di sua volontà e siamo riusciti ad entrare un’oretta prima. - Mancanza di un bidet, scale ripide, mancanza di appendini. - Terrazzino in condizioni pessime (Segnalato al servizio di Wonderful Italy, ma nessuno mi ha risposto), allego le foto.

La posizione; appartamento ristrutturato da poco

Pavimento a dir poco lercio, secondo me mai lavato dall’inizio della locazione! il terrazzo inutilizzabile, sia perché un loculo con muri alti sia perché con i resti del cantiere e i secchi della spazzatura. Manca il bidet ma a questo punto è il meno. Ti chiedono di lavare le stoviglie (giustamente per carità!) ma bisogna comprarsi il detersivo e una spugnetta perché loro non fanno questo “servizio”. Mancano grucce e due appendini nel bagno quindi asciugamani stesi ovunque in camera . Troppi messaggi scambiati per un soggiorno di un paio di notti.
