Using the DVD player, Watch Provided Movies including, of course, “Jaws” but also Nicholas Sparks’ Movie Filmed in Southport, “Safe Haven”. Listen to Music from your Devices on the Bluetooth Speaker. The Large Coffee Table slides open to reveal Many Family-Friendly Games, Lots with a Shark Theme. You may even become a Card Shark! Of note are the Beach Combing Shell Identifier Pads. After a Fun Day Picking Up Shells, come back & Discover what your Special Finds are.
The Living Area flows into an Open Dining & Kitchen which overlooks the Screened Porch. The Kitchen is Stocked with all the Items you will need to make Memorable Meals. In addition, there are both K-cup & Drip Coffee Machines, a Mrs. Tea Machine & a Blender for those Frozen Vacation Beverages. A Crock Pot, Hand Mixer, Toaster & Air Fryer round out the Small Appliance Amenities in the Kitchen. There is a Charcoal Grill to make that Fresh Catch even Tastier. Choose to Dine Alfresco at 1 of the 2 Outdoor Dining Tables. There are Melamine Plates & a Selection of Glasses for both Kid-Friendly & Adult Beverages to use while Enjoying your Meals in the Fresh Air. The EnSuite has a Combination Tub/Shower. The 2nd & 3rd Bedrooms each have a Comfortable Queen Bed & a Dresser & Closet. These 2 Bedrooms share a Hall Bath with a Tub/Shower. For the Younger Guests there is a Safety Bed Rail. After you have had your Fun in the Sun, Rinse Off the Sand & Salt in the Outdoor Shower (Hot & Cold). Drop off your Swimsuits & Towels in the Laundry Room with the Full-Sized Washer/Dryer so they are Ready for the Next Day.
When you head to the Beach, there are Lots of Items Provided to make it More Entertaining. Grab the Beach Cart to Stow the Sand Toys, Boogie Board, Chairs, Umbrellas & a Folding Beach Table. The Cart makes it Much Easier to get your Gear to & from the Beach. To Keep your Snacks & Lunch Fresh while you are there, Pack it in the Shark Shack Cooler Bag.

We’re happy to host dogs! Depending on the booking platform, the pet fee may not be included in your total and will be requested separately. A non-refundable $200 pet fee (up to 2 dogs, 80 lbs combined) is required and must be paid before check-in—access details will be sent once completed.
Maximum of 2 dogs. Unregistered pets will incur a $200 pet fee plus a $500 remediation fee.
Dogs must be up to date on vaccines and flea/tick prevention. No dogs on furniture or beds (additional cleaning fees may apply). Please bring a crate if needed; there is not one at the property.

EVERYTHING we needed!We really enjoyed our stay at the Shark Shack. We were most impressed with all the extras they supplied such as the grills, bikes and beach accessories --just everything you could think of was available. The outdoor porch and shower are a nice feature. The house was super clean and decorated very nicely, with a fully equipped kitchen. The only issue we had was the water was cut off to the outdoor shower and we couldn't find the code to the lock where the bikes and beach accessories are stored, but the property manager took care of this very promptly. The location relative to the beach is not bad, especially with bikes but a wagon is also available if you want to walk (less than a mile).

We enjoyed our stay—the house was comfortable and worked for our needs. My parents needed a one-level property and we needed a pet friendly option. The kitchen was well equipped and there were extra touches like a basket of suntan lotion to share. The screened in porch was a nice space to relax in as well. Thanks!

This property is perfect for long or short term stays. Extremely clean and the beds were comfortable. Very nicely updated appliances and other kitchen equipment. The screened in porch and the grill area were used everyday. Close to the beach and other amenities of Oak Island. Owner is very responsive and though we had no major issues, when we asked a question got a prompt response. It was our first time to Oak Island and we will be back and chose this delightful home to stay. Our 2 Westies had enough room to romp and they enjoyed the stay as well.
