Location as its near to stop, clear information sent in mail about hotel location and it's direction. Room and bathroom were very clean.

Bathroom is outside room, very inconvenient to use everything. I have requested for twin bed, but double cot bed given, as I have come with my friend, I clearly asked for twin bed while booking.

We stayed one night after travelling on the Bernina Express. The apartment was clean and comfortable and suited well for an overnight stop.

The room was comfortable and had everything we needed.

For us the location, and many stairs and tight hallways.

It was a good location and comfortable. Did what we needed for a 1 night stay.

There was no door to the toilet.

This place is perfect value for money. It’s in a very accessible location, and the room was clean and comfortable. The property is equipped with kitchenware and everything you need if you wish to cook your own meals. The bathroom was also clean and well-maintained. The surroundings are nice and calm, and the owner was very helpful, providing all the necessary details before our arrival.

Nothing to dislike, but I have two suggestions for the owner. There was no door separating the toilet from the bedroom, adding at least a curtain would be helpful. Also, placing a visible sign with the hostel name outside would make it easier to find.

Several flights of stairs and no lift.

We got room number 32 with a private bathroom on the corridor but the problem emerged when other clients could not understand that the bathroom was private and would harras both of our room’s and bathroom’s doors:(

Key collection was a disaster. Not easy to open and I struggled. Owner was not contactable at critical time.

Room is well organized and clean.

Location is very noisy in the night. Not suggested if you need a quiet sleep.

Reasonably easy to get to train station and old town Clean and early checking was available which was good for us Fridge, Coffee and tea provided which was nice Small bar in front of hotel was great but don’t sell food.

Expensive compared to the 50 other hotels we have booked for this trip. The room we had 32 is in the attic up 5 flights of fairly steep floors. Has external private bathroom which we knew and it was clean if a bit annoying to have to lock every time we used it. Small attic ( dormer) window meant it was a bit stuffy on a 28 degree day The room has varying heights and all painted white- we bashed our heads on these a number of times and had to bend to reach things. They need to be marked somehow to differentiate and make more visible We were there on a Sunday and Chur was very quiet- the 3 clubs and bars below the hotel were closed - I doubt we would have been able to sleep at all if they were open.

Stayed: 19 May 2025 We enjoyed our stay at Haus zum Rütli. From the start, communication with the hotel was smooth and engaging – they were responsive and helpful, which made check-in a breeze. The room was a pleasant surprise – clean, spacious, and well-maintained, with everything I needed for a comfortable stay. Another big plus is the location – just a short walk to the Chur city centre, which made exploring the area super convenient. Would definitely consider staying here again next time I’m in Switzerland.

Appreciate the human touch than the present system

Comfortable beds, good communication, easy access and self check-in.

Located above some bars, entrance smells very much like Tabacco. Overall feeling of “being in this building” is rather bad, almost scatchy.

Room was pleasant

Walls thin and in the next room was a group of teenage boys, noisy shouting screaming they blocked the kitchen by parking a bike in it. Their shouting, screaming and banging scared our young daughter. No-one to contact to make them stop. Daughter was too scared to go and use the shared bathroom because of them. Not family friendly, a doss house for stoned drunk teenagers.

Good facilities in room, and access to shared kitchen.

No lift, so had to climb stairs to 3rd floor with luggage.

Excellent location near the cable cars to got up a beautiful mountain. Lots of food and drink places nearby also Room was clean and shower was hot.

Duct tape on the headboard on the bed hidden by a pillow was off-putting a bit When I turned on the TV. It was set to a porn channel. Glad I didn't have my children present. A poor taste joke by the previous guest I'm sure

Good location. Beds comfy. It was clean and quiet.

The units were on the 3rd floor. We were told they were on the 1st! It was a lot of stairs to carry our bags up. Google Maps made it hard to find the entrance but the pictures that were sent helped us find it. Lack of toiletries. Coffee machine didn't work.

location could not be better as we came to mountainbike the cable car was a minute away! nice studio with a small kitchen so you can prepare very basic meal. were allowed to leave the bikes in the garden

despite initial skepticism from the outside, me and my wife were pleasantly surprised upon entering the room. complimentary water and little chocolate were a nice touch

including a full-body mirror in the room would be a nice addition

Great location, 10 minutes walk to the beautiful old town and railway station. Comfortable room with very nice details.

Entrance looks confusing but thanks to the great host and people we had no trouble finding the way.

The studio was small but nice, comfortable bed, fairly clean.

It is located above a bar and night club. At the entrance you can smell smoke still once upstairs that's fine. During the night however the music gets extremely loud and we could not sleep for hours.

Located above a Nightclub / Bar! Music pumping till 03.15, then loud crowds outside. Smell of cigarette. Neighbourhood per se shady.

I had a wonderful stay at the property for several reasons. First and foremost, the convenient location in the city center was a major plus. The self-check-in process was hassle-free, with the host providing all necessary information in advance, making the experience relaxed and enjoyable. Exploring the nearby area was a breeze, and we even took the cable car to Brambrüasch, which was incredibly close, although our mountain biking plans were unfortunately disrupted by rain. However, we're excited to return and give it another shot. The host's dinner recommendations upon request were spot-on, and the fact that all the recommended restaurants were within walking distance was fantastic. After a delightful dinner, we returned to the property, where we appreciated the well-equipped room. It featured a coffee machine, kettle, kitchen, utensils, and a hair dryer, which added to the overall convenience. The room's cleanliness and modern decor were top-notch, and the comfortable mattress ensured a restful night's sleep for both me and my friend. Although we didn't use it, the presence of a small kitchen in our room was a nice touch, offering flexibility for dining choices. In summary, our stay was highly enjoyable, and we are even contemplating returning for a skiing weekend. The property's strategic location allows for easy access to various skiing destinations within a 30-minute drive, all while enjoying the comforts of staying in a charming town.

The only minor inconvenience we encountered was the absence of an elevator, though it was clearly stated in the property description. However it encouraged us to stay active and added a touch of character to this historical building.

Es war sauber und bequem

Die Lage ist zwar gut, denn man erreicht alles in kurzer Zeit. Jedoch war es am laut. Es hat eine Bar und zwei Clubs gerade neben der Unterkunft. Wir waren vom Samstag auf Sonntag, somit war der Geräuschpegel lauter.

La ubicación es muy buena, pudimos recorrer Chur a pie. Super cerca del teleférico y del casco antiguo. El sistema de calefacción para el invierno es ideal. La cama es muy cómoda. Cuenta con cocina con lo necesario para cocinar o calentar comida,preparar el desayuno y demás. Las vistas desde las ventanas son magníficas!!

Elegimos con baño privado, el cual esta muy bien pero nos incomoda que no tenga puerta entre la habitación y el baño.

Ubicacion y limpieza

Muy chico y caro (pero bueno entiendo que es suiza, es lo mas barato que encontre). Le faltaban cubiertos y la habitacion para 5 demasiado pequeña, tambien es dificil encontrar la habitacion 22 (esta dsp que la 25)

Las instrucciones para llegar, la calefaccion de la habitacion, la limpieza, el cafe y el kitchen, las camas y sus cobijas. Todo excelente.

Quizas falta un microondas, pero tiene cafetera, pava electrica, cocina electrica y heledera q estaban perfectas, practicamente nuevas.
