Extremely comfortable for one night enroute home from Cornwall.

That it was part of a family home & near great dog walking. It is in a very nice location, in a well placed town in a lovely part of Dorset.

Overnight stay

Spacious, comfortable accommodation in central location

We could have done with more milk for overnight teas and coffee (just remnants of a bottle left) and some soap for the bathroom sink. But minor points on otherwise very comfortable accommodation

A Comfortable apartment

A very nice apartment, comfortable and well-furnished in a good position on the edge of Gillingham. We enjoyed staying there despite the drawbacks mentioned below.

From both the description and a previous review we were expecting a small private garden with a nice view but there was just a small space outside the door and a high fence: the space where the garden would have been was occupied by a shepherd's hut. There was no dishwasher and the soundproofing is ineffective.

Great place to stay on outskirts of Gillingham

Lovely spacious annex, in a beautiful building. Easy to find, free parking, well located, comfortable and warm. Easy check-in via key safe, and owner also met us shortly after arrival to check that all was OK. Lovely views and walks across fields. Would happily stay again.

A very beautiful property, very cosy, it felt like home.

The property is wonderful, a lovely and warm little annex. Very cosy bed and sofa bed. Good size kitchen, it felt like home. The host were Wonderful. This property has lots of potential. It is brilliant that animals are allowed. My dog adjusted very well.

Unfortunately, what let down the property is the cleanest which needs to be improved drastically. The property needs to be inspected regularly when not been rented for a while. Must clean spiders on all corners of the wall and behind doors and hoover behind the furnitures and underneath the TV cabinet. As well as dusting. My boys were quick to spot that the property wasn’t cleaned for a while. The duvet must be washed each time, after the guests leave the property. I didn’t tell my boys that the duvet wasn’t washed (the one in the bedroom)as they would have freaked out and not used it. ( remember Covid, let’s keep hygiene up) People cannot be fooled, especially when it is creased and smells a bit of someone else perfume. The kitchen cloth was dirty, hence I used my hand to wash-up. It will be great to have some cheap spare sponges 🧽 to clean any dishes plus cloth to clean the surface. Also, to leave a broom in the cupboard so the guest could clean up any mess they made. There were no bathroom mat, will be nice to have one. I didn’t like writing this negative review part, however, this is how the host can improve their standards.

Host made a delicious vegan breakfast upon request even though it wasn't on the menu.

Smoke alarm went off whenever we used the toaster. Perhaps a note to open the back door would help with this minor issue.

Perfect Stay

Super clean, comfortable, and modern with easy access and a lovely host. Smart TV with Netflix was great, sofa bed in the living room and we liked that it was like a small cosy apartment and not just a room. Davina the host was lovely in accommodating us, as we booked very last minute - she brought us some milk for tea and a heater to warm us up whilst we waited for the main heating to come on :)

Two night stay whilst visiting family in the area. Elmcroft was clean and comfortable and is in a great location.

Great stay, was able to chill out and enjoy

It was lovely, had a small private garden area for my dog which was very helpful, good kitchen facilities to be able to cook along with menu’s for local takeaways if you don’t fancy cooking. The bed is absolutely amazing to sleep on so comfy and easy to get a good night sleep and the lounge is lovely to chill out on and watch the tv. Close to a local co op and fish and chip shop and not much of a walk into town either. Great hosts and very helpful if you have any questions during your stay
