Communication with the owner was great! Very accommodating! very close to the metro bus and train station .... look up lines before you go ... the bus had us a little confused the first night. It's not a long ride to Downtown D.C. so that was nice. Not far from Safeway either. The house was clean. There was some street noise up in the bedrooms so maybe bring earplugs and an eyemask for morning light. Overall we were tired at the end of the day so for the most part slept just fine. Only thing I would complain about is not knowing that someone rented the basement out as well. We were asked on a note to leave the temp at set temperature for them to not freeze them out. On our second or third day the lady down there asked us to turn the temp down cause she was to hot .... which actually caused us to get to cold. Locking the door was a little confusing, but we contacted the host and learned the trick to lock the door so wasn't to bad. Overall it was a good stay! As I said before the host was great to talk with!

We spent a week in Silver Spring visiting a new baby member of the family. The location is on the edge of the commercial and residential sections, so it was not quiet but we weren't expecting it to be. One can walk to the grocery store, the metro, the movies and multiple restaurants. There was a 7 Eleven across the street. The house was plenty of room for us. The kitchen was very basically equipped...not much room for cooking. The only thing we could have used was a couple of blankets for the cool evenings.

The area in which we stayed was ok. However the beds were not good at all everyone has been in pain since. The kitchen had to be cleaned to use along with all utensils and pans plates etc. There was rats inside and out. Homeless people across the street. Down power line in backyard. The front door wouldnt lock or unlock approx 5 to 10 min to get open or closed each time. I would never bring my children here again an honestly we deserve a refund for the stay and since we did more cleaning then the cleaners did we should of gotten that payment as well. All in all not happy great trip but we wont be back to this house again. I'm still recovering from how bad my back hurt.
