Villa Catarina Ocean View

The place was ok, clean and no complaints really, the shower is tiny and awkward to use, a bath with a shower would be more suitable. The place really needs air conditioning as this is a big plus for us when booking. We found is really hot and took a few days to adjust. We bought 2 fans from Lidl and there was one on site but air conditioning would make a huge difference. The overall property is good and we felt safe and secure and it’s close to the beach. We had a car so we could drive to the beach, park , enjoy the day at the beach, load up all the beach items and drive back to the villa. Saves bringing all the umbrellas and items back by foot in the heat and hills which would be a 5-10 minute walk. In the evening it is a short walk to the old town. Nice view from the rooftop too.

its on a hill so if your fit its ok but if you are not it could be a problem.

I liked the location of the villa. It's in a residential part of the Old Town. Fantastic views from the roof terrace. It was quiet daytime and nighttime. There's a well stocked supermarket just around the corner. The management company is very responsive. The apartment was clean and the beds were comfortable.

There's no air conditioning in the apartment. There were two fans, one industrial strength, one rubbish. No fans upstairs. The oven didn't work. The fridge took 12 hours to go cold, which says it must have been switched off prior to our stay. The mattresses on the sunbeds on the roof terrace have seen better days. An idea would be to have a storage box so mattresses could be stored when not in use. There were only 4 hangers in the wardrobes, which is not adequate
