The room was very clean and comfortable, and the bathroom was clean as well. We really liked that the bathroom was outdoors.. it was such a nice and unique experience. The pool was also very pleasant. The water was warm, but still refreshing enough to cool down after a hot day.
The location is perfect. The property is a little away from the main busy street, so it’s peaceful and quiet, while everything is still close by. It takes around 20 minutes to walk to the port, and you can also rent bicycles directly at the property, which is very convenient.
The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The only small thing that wasn’t really our style was being asked where we were going or what we were planning to do almost every time we left. We completely understand that this probably came from friendliness and genuine interest, but personally we prefer a little more privacy and don’t really like having to explain our plans every time we go out.
Overall, we had a really great stay and would definitely recommend Casa Kapuas! 🤍

Nice location, away from the hustle and bustle but close enough for easy access to bars and restaurants. The host is absolutely fantastic. He went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and whenever there was an issue he resolved it instantly. The bed is comfortable and the breakfast is delicious. The hotel can organise an electric scooter for you and sort out transport to the ferry.
One night our shower wasn’t working due to island wide water supply issues. However this wasn’t an issue because the staff let us use another shower that used a different water supply. They were amazing in making sure we were comfortable.

Everything was honestly great; the staff were very helpful and friendly. Kuta, in particular, is truly the best. I forgot my charger when checking out, and he came and found me on an electric scooter to return it. He was there whenever I needed anything
The power went out, and since there was no generator, I was inconvenienced for an entire day; that was the only downside
