We had a super , fabulous 3 nights stay at Carina Gold Hotel in the Sultanahmet region Istanbul.
The staff at the hotel were very kind, helpful and friendly.
The hotwl was quiet and very close to Grand Bazaar, Blue Mosquw, Spice Bazaar, Basilica Cistern
Unfortunately, the towels were very old and frankly apeaking not hygienic at all!. The breakfast could be better as well. Not fresh and tasty looking food I am afraid.

We appreciated the help and knowledge of the staff who were very nice in explaining how to visit the area, how to use transportation and calling a taxi a 2am for the airport.
The breakfast was good and filling.
Overall we recommend this hotel for a stay in Istanbul.

While the hotel itself is nice, the overall experience was a bit mixed due to uncoordinated staff and a very basic breakfast. Many of the staff members were helpful, but we quickly learned that if you need something, you sometimes have to check with multiple people to get the right answer. For instance, despite booking a room for a child, the first receptionist told us there were no cots available. However, when I checked later with a different staff member, they immediately said yes and sent one right up to our room.
Furthermore, the breakfast does not reflect a 4-star standard; it is a very standard buffet with no special options for children, not even waffles, which I can easily find at most 3 star hotels.
Would I book here again? No. For the same price, I have experienced better options elsewhere.
