About this cabin rental
Escape to Butte Bungalow, a stunning mountain retreat in the heart of Big Bear Lake! 🌲🏔️ Just a 5-minute drive to the slopes, this 3-bedroom, 2-bath cabin blends rustic charm with modern luxury, offering the perfect getaway for families, friends, and adventure seekers. Recently installed Mini split AC Unit.
A few notes about the layout of the house:
1. The house is three levels.
2. The downstairs bunk room is not fully enclosed, but does have an en suite bathroom.
2. The two upstairs bedrooms do
not have an en suite bathroom. You will need to walk down the stairs to get to the bathroom.
3. Please help us conserve energy by only running the AC units when spending time in the rooms. Turn them off when leaving the house and checking out or you could be charged. Thank you.
The upstairs gets warm during summer months due to style of the house and heat rising. Here’s how to cool it down.
1) open both bedroom windows and doors and run the ceiling fans for 30 mins
2) close windows and run wall ac units.
3) run supplemental AC units with ice packs as needed during the day
4) open windows as the sun is going down. It cools down significantly at night.

Welcome to your A-Chalet property! Please complete the welcome submission form prior to your arrival to ensure a smooth check-in experience.
Pets:
• There is a $75 pet fee per stay (maximum of 2 dogs).
• Dogs must remain off furniture and beds at all times.
• When leaving the premises, dogs must be crated.
• Dogs should be kept on a leash and close by at all times while outside.
Trash:
• All trash must be bagged and placed in the designated trash cans.
• If trash overflows, please contact us for directions to an offsite dump location.
Fireplace:
• This property features a fake log insert—no firewood is needed.
• Ensure the chain-link guard rail is closed after lighting the fireplace.
• The ring flute should remain to the right at all times.
Thermostat:
• Set the thermostat to your desired temperature during your stay.
• Before checking out, return the thermostat to 55°F.
Kitchen Cleanup:
• Please clean the kitchen after meals, including handwashing dishes, to avoid additional cleaning fees.
BBQ Grill:
• Clean the grill and turn off the propane tank valve after use to avoid a an additional fee.
Spa:
• Rinse off before using the spa to prevent oil and makeup buildup.
• Set the spa to your desired temperature and return it to 100°F when finished.
• If the spa water becomes murky, a dump and refill will be required, which is an additional fee.
• Ensure the spa cover is sealed and clipped tightly after use.
Locking the Door:
• Lock the door before leaving by pressing the checkmark on the keypad.
• Confirm that the deadbolt is securely closed before departing.
Snow Removal:
• Plow services will automatically clear snow during or after 3 inches of snowfall.

We stayed at this cabin in the Moonridge area of Big Bear, and overall, it was a great experience! The cabin was clean and well-decorated, creating a cozy, inviting atmosphere right from the moment we walked in. The kitchen was fully stocked with all the necessary items, making it easy to prepare meals during our stay.One downside was the two planned power outages that occurred during our visit. We weren't made aware of these outages beforehand, which left us a bit unprepared. It would have been nice if the cabin had some backup power, or at the very least, flashlights or lanterns to help us navigate in the dark.On a positive note, we had the chance to use the jacuzzi, and it was fantastic! It was the perfect way to unwind after a day of exploring. As for parking, the driveway was spacious enough to comfortably fit two larger vehicles.All in all, a very pleasant stay with just a small hiccup with the power outages. Would definitely consider staying here again, as it had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway!
