Guests love the `hidden` feel of this property! You’re steps away from the action of St. Charles Avenue but tucked back in your own private oasis. Enjoy your morning coffee on the brick patio or watch the city from the upper balcony.

- Bathrooms: 1 full bathroom upstairs and a convenient half-bath (powder room) on the ground floor.
***Please note: This home is between two businesses that can be loud in the evenings. There is a 24-hour bar and tattoo shop on either side. It does get loud at night with both music from the bar and tattoo shop patrons standing outside, and can definitely be heard inside the apartment. I have a sound machine to help drown the noise if any guests find it bothersome.***

Parking details: There is ample free street parking in the immediate area. While street parking is generally easy to find, we always recommend removing valuables from your vehicle.
Absolutely NO PARTIES will be tolerated. This is a quiet, residential-style space, and violations will result in immediate termination of your stay without a refund. No smoking or vaping is permitted inside the cottage or on the private patio/balcony area.
We unfortunately cannot offer luggage storage before or after your stay, but we recommend using Bounce, a local luggage storage service, for your needs.
***Please note: This home is between two businesses that can be loud in the evenings. There is a 24-hour bar and tattoo shop on either side. It does get loud at night with both music from the bar and tattoo shop patrons standing outside, and can definitely be heard inside the apartment. I have a sound machine to help drown the noise if any guests find it bothersome.***
We are on beautiful St Charles Ave! There are tons of great restaurants, shops, and the street car in the immediate area. Just over a mile from both the Superdome and the Convention Center! This is a great home base for all of your city travels.
The streetcar is directly in front of the main house and is the easier way to travel. Uber is usually pretty quick and cheap if you are going off of the streetcar path and don’t fancy walking.
**There is a $200 security/damage deposit collected 3 days prior to arrival, and returned shortly after your stay. This is done as a $200 hold on your method of payment, not a full charge. Please see the rental agreement (required to be read and signed before booking) for more details. ***
New Orleans is prone to hurricanes and other storms, sometimes outside of the normal season. Please note that we do not move, cancel, or provide refunds or credits for any reason, including COVID, road conditions/closures, travel cancellations, and weather conditions. If you think you may need to cancel for any reason, we HIGHLY SUGGEST that you purchase trip insurance or book closer to your travel dates.
Additionally, please be aware that from May through June, this whole region experiences flying termite swarms. While these insects are harmless to humans and we take proactive measures to manage them, they may occasionally find their way indoors during swarming season, and no home in the area is 100% immune to them.

1. The booking guest must have their ID uploaded to their profile.
2. Please be mindful of the neighbors sleeping. We recommend being quiet after 8:30pm (weekdays including Sundays) and 9:00pm (weekends).
3. While early check-in / late checkout may be available, this must be arranged ahead of time for an extra fee. Unauthorized Late checkouts are a $50 charge for each hour after 11am - a 15 minute grace period is given. Late checkouts MUST be requested before 9PM the day before your departure.
4. Clean towels are a provided amenity. Each guest listed through your reservation will receive 1 bath towel and 1 face towel. We are unable to fulfill requests for additional towels during the duration of your stay. Plan ahead while packing, please bring extra towels if you or any of your guests anticipate needing more.
5. Smoking & vaping in the unit will result in a $500 deodorization fee. Please smoke outside of the property.
6. Unregistered guests and parties are prohibited by local laws and ILLEGAL. Our occupancy limits are set by local ordinance. Any guest found to have had a party or over-occupancy will be charged a $1,000 fee for non-compliance with local laws. Exterior cameras present at the property to verify these laws/house rules are not broken. As of May 2022, all platforms have specifically banned parties from their units. Violation of this rule will result in a ban from the platform.
7. Please do not hang or attach anything to the walls with push pins, tape, etc. or other painted surfaces.
8. Please do not use face towels to remove your makeup. It damages the towel.
9. If the space is left excessively dirty $50 will be charged for each additional hour of cleaning required. Removal of bodily fluids will result in a charge of $150. Glitter cleanup will result in a charge of $100
10. Unauthorized pets will result in an additional $250 deep cleaning cleaning fee and immediate request to leave. Pet Boarding recommendations available upon request. Both the owner and staff have pet allergies. If traveling with pets please inquire about our pet friendly units.
11. After you’ve read these rules, please send me a message with the words “yellow kangaroo” it will let me know that you have read the rules thoroughly.
12. Unfortunately, we cannot accept bookings from “Locals” at this time. Locals is meant to include anyone residing within 60 miles of New Orleans.
13. While we cannot receive any mail or packages to the space we will assist with getting packages shipped to New Orleans if needed.
14. Commercial video and photo shoots are strictly forbidden without prior and authorized consent. Associated day-rate fees, liability waivers and copyright contracts will apply if consent is given.
15. Message us for long term stays.
16. All of our TV`s are streaming, we do not provide any account information, you will have to log into your own. Please remember to log out at check out. We do not have cable TV.
17. RVs / Campers / Trailers are not allowed on the premises.
18. External power outlets can not be hooked up to the property under any circumstance.
19. Should you wish to receive an early check-in or late check-out, please let us know the day before and we will determine if it`s possible. We require time to prepare the unit for your stay or after your stay for the next guest and sometimes we are unable to accommodate. If we can accommodate, we will charge $25/hour for the additional booking time. This will also be in place for dropping luggage off or leaving your luggage after checkout time has passed. Payment will be requested after your additional time has been approved.
20. Lost Items: We return lost items for a $75 flat fee. This is to cover shipping costs, along with the time spent to retrieve & mail your item. If you leave anything at the unit, please let us know immediately.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this cottage on St. Charles Avenue. The location was outstanding and made it easy for our family to explore the Garden District and other parts of New Orleans. Having the St. Charles streetcar stop nearby was a huge plus and allowed us to leave the car parked while we enjoyed the city.The cottage was very clean, well maintained, and exactly as described. The beds were comfortable, and the linens were noticeably high quality. We also appreciated how quiet the property was, especially given its convenient location on a major avenue.Parking was easier than expected. We had no trouble finding street parking on Euterpe Street right next to the cottage throughout our stay.Communication from the host was excellent. Directions, check-in information, and other instructions were clear and detailed, and the host was always quick to respond when we had questions.Overall, this was a perfect home base for our family. We would gladly stay here again and would recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable, convenient place to experience the Garden District and New Orleans.

The location of this space is absolutely perfect. The listing calls out that it is behind a bar, but we did not experience any loud noise or funny business. The parking is street parking, but we always found a great spot right on the adjacent side street off St. Charles. The communication with the host was honestly the best I’ve ever experienced. David was so quick to respond and always provided a solution. The listing was as described. Highly recommend.

This is a great place- conveniently located on the streetcar line with easy access to great restaurants by foot or streetcar. The beds and furnishings were comfortable. The kitchen is sparse if you want to cook, but is perfect for reheating leftovers, simple meals, drinks, etc. There wasn’t any detectable noise from the surrounding businesses. Parking was easy to come by on adjacent streets (free). We will come back here on future trips!
