The house was extremely well located and clean. We were easily able to book it last minute and the host let us check in early.
It seemed like there was a lot of small maintenance that needed to be done (ie. broken blinds, dings in walls, drainage issues). I probably would have overlooked these in my review if it were not for two things:
1) The hot tub code did not work. When I messaged the host about it I never got a response.
2) We decided to move past the disappointment of the hot tub and watch TV. When we tried using the TV we were not able to get it to work (gave up after 45min of troubleshooting). This wasn't a big issue (there for nature anyway), but when we messaged the host to give him an FYI that he might need to contact the manufacturer for a hard reset, he responded: "Hey the TV does work just move closer to the screen and turn it on, that's not a big problem even a child can solve that fixing". He then doubled down at midnight on thanksgiving... long after we had checked out.
The host needs to consider what industry he is working in... Professionalism goes a long way.
