JungleHavenBali - Private Nature Stay

Staff, Komang and Agung, were amazing. Eager to please, nothing too much for them. Unique homestead. Wonderful well kept gardens. Fabulous Bali experience in the mountains. We loved our visit to the coconut oil factory.

Internet a little problematic in bad weather, but to be expected anywhere. The guys were happy to help.

My friend and me stayed at JHB for about 9 days and we both want to share our experiences separately: This is a place where you can truly retreat and connect to the land of Bali and to yourself. The place co-exists with nature and even when you stay in the beautiful rooms it feels like you are outside. here the land nourishes you on all levels: body, mind and soul. Picking fresh fruits for breakfast, flowers for tea, relaxing, reading or meditate with the song of a small and the sounds of the jungle. Everyday I woke up here I was marveled by the beauty of the place and it was almost hard to choose which wholesome activity to do here. And the richness of the land here is not even the thing that made me enjoy the place as much as I have. What it did for me was the hospitality and kindness of our host Azwar and his staff/friends. In Azwar you find a host who enjoys having you as a guest, who wants to get to know you and share his knowledge of Indonesia and life with you. Being with him made me want to be a host for others since it showed me that hosting people can change and deepen their experience of traveling. Last but not least: Agung the chef of the place… For me food is one way to get to know a country and in Agung you have someone who embraces Indonesian food and just treats you to joy after joy. My honest recommendation: don’t choose your food and let him do his magic!

Het aller fijnste was wel de combinatie van het sprookjesachtige huisje midden in de jungle en de lieve energie van onze host Komang. Ik maak zelden zo'n oprecht vriendelijke jongen mee. ZO lief en behulpzaam, echt een mannetje van goud🩷 Het huisje was ook zo schattig voorzien van alle kleine details die je nodig hebt en de veranda was ook geweldig. Het eten gemaakt door Agung was ook telkens weer heerlijk en met veel liefde gemaakt, dat proefde je echt. Wat een top team zijn die jongens samen. Verder zijn we er veel op uit geweest met de scooter (die Komang nog even snel heeft voorzien van nieuwe remmen) en dat was best een avontuur zo op en af over de bergen. Dit plekje gaan we zeker onthouden en we zijn ook geïnteresseerd in het schattige huisje beneden bij de rivier die niet op booking staat. Dankjewel voor alles en zeker tot een volgende keer! De badkamer vloer en onderste plank van de wand van kamer 1 heeft wat achterstallig onderhoud. Dit is wel zeer belangrijk puntje om even naar te kijken voor verbetering.
