Beachfront Haven

The house was fabulous for our long weekend. Very clean, and as we were travelling with 2 teenagers, it was outstanding that we never ran out of hot water. The kitchen was very well supplied with cooking utensils and cookware, and I loved that it had a dishwasher and plenty of cups and glasses, as again, teenagers always need a clean glass. Loved the great Wi-Fi, as both teenagers were still working on assignments, and the fact that it didn't buffer was fabulous. Loved watching the sunrise every morning and only a short walk to get my cafe coffee fix. We would most definitely stay again.

Have to say, for a new build, I was surprised that the tiled floors in the bathrooms were not heated. Also, we couldn't find a switch to turn the outside light by the front door on, but that is being very picky.

Property was very cold when we arrived, 10 degrees, no heater in main bedroom on top floor- told to put lower heaters on and heat would raise We found dirty laundry in downstairs cupboard and laundry in washing machine, I reported this and a cleaner did come to collect and apologise but later also found a broken glass and other people’s rubbish in other drawers- just felt like there was a lack of attention to cleaning the apartment Layout in main living room was not family friendly- two sofas in straight line and a tiny dining table not big enough for 4 to eat at- with a bit of imagination the layout could be so much better Patio doors could all do with a wash Main bed was comfy but two single beds were cheap and uncomfortable Property is managed by a hotel in North island, maybe this is the root of the problems.
