Birgu No 25 apartment 3

Firstly, I just want to say how responsive and helpful the owner is (Andrew) He responded to me straight away and offered further information if needed up until the trip and into it. Thank you Andrew! The apartment itself is in the perfect location, with a roof terrace just for you and a terrace off the kitchen/living area. We were welcomed with tea, Coffee pods and sugar. There is a convenience store just opposite and two more less than a 1 min walk away that pretty much provides everything you’re needing for a short stay. The square is a 3 min walk down a small hill, the marina is a 5-6 min walk down hill and Fort St Angelo is a 10-12 min walk down and then uphill. There is an abundance of restaurants and bars at all of the above venue’s. ( we didn’t have one bad meal as used Google reviews to choose where we ate) there were lively bars but also chill places to go too which was much more our cup of tea. Every local we had contact with was friendly and helpful. The shower is very powerful and refreshing, we did enjoy this very much indeed. There is a decent size fridge/freezer, a microwave and kitchenware.

We are a couple in our mid-late 50’s so not quite retired but almost. I must admit I had not realised quite how many stairs there would be up to the apartment, then a very small spiral staircase leading to the mezzanine bedroom. This is pictured in the details but, I must admit I didn’t realise it was leading up to bed which was my mistake. The double bed is also up against the wall so one of you need to scoot down to get out in the night for the loo (that happens a lot for us unfortunately) so navigating the bed and stairway in the night was a challenge for us. The bedroom also has what I can only describe as a ‘grate’ type floor, you can’t really use this space for anything or step onto it without hurting your feet. If covered correctly this space could be used for say a decent wardrobe or dressing table for ladies to do their makeup and hair. This apartment/converted studio with roof and kitchen terraces is definitely for the younger and fitter of us, and if we were younger, we would definitely book it again because it is in the perfect location, clean, has a TV you can stream too, excellent WiFi and is a great place just to put your head down for the night or hang out on the roof looking up at the stars. The only reason we won’t be booking again is the stairs leading up to the 3rd floor apartment and spiral stairs inside leading to the bedroom. Other than that a great place to stay.

Very nice Location. Overal experience was very good!

Parking is occupated on Saturday and Tuesday by markt , then it is difficult to find another parking spot. Just one knife and no scissors. Cleaning was superficial.

Posizione perfetta per visitare le tre città e la valletta, birgu molto bella. Stile dell’appartamento molto bello. Facilità di accesso e disponibilità del proprietario. Appartamento dotato di tutto il necessario.

La pulizia é migliorabile. Purtroppo il problema principale per noi é l’ insonorizzazione, si sente praticamente qualsiasi rumore proveniente dall’esterno (anche gli aerei) nonostante sia in una zona piuttosto tranquilla. Se qualche inquilino utilizza l’asciugatrice di sera/notte purtroppo si sente anche quello.
