Villa Sanctuary Apsara

Patrick is an excellent host who went above and beyond to take care of us during our stay. The villa is beautiful, comfortable, and very clean. The view of the ocean is wonderful, and visible from most rooms in the house. We particularly enjoyed the patio and private pool!

This is an amazing villa - but the luxury of quiet, spacious privacy also means that this property is not centrally located. It’s an 8-10 minute walk to the beach, and any excursions are a taxi ride away. However, this didn’t stop us from having a great time and the walk to the beach is interesting in its own right.

This is a fabulous villa, beautifully designed with a view to die for, undoubtedly the best in Samui. However the villa is in need of some TLC. Great service and daily cleaning by Nee the housekeeper.

The villa is ‘tired’ and certain aspects need updating. Concrete seats in the swimming pool that are disintegrating Air Con units in the bedrooms that are incredibly noisy and can’t be used at night (the one in the master bedroom is held open with string) Wooden panels on the bath that are falling apart Showers that don’t operate With just a little financial investment the word ‘luxury’ could then be used to describe the villa accurately. Please note that there is no washing machine in the villa as is listed in the description of facilities. Be prepared for a bill at the end of your stay for the electricity you have used.

The sunset view is lovely.

Breakfast is not really included. Just a loaf of sliced bread, butter, eggs and fruit in the fridge . Not enough for the whole stay. All the equipment and furnishings are quite dated. Everything needs a refresh. Long way from everywhere and not much outdoor space to relax in at the villa. The air con is also outdated and the villa insulation is not good. So the electricity ends up being quite expensive.
