Loch Tummel Hotel

Everything was brilliant value for money, best nights sleep I’ve had in ages & the staff were really accommodating, friendly & down to earth. Overall great experience.

Nothing really because of how good value for money it was.

The location and the scenery were outstanding Evening music was nicely entertaining Bar prices were fair

I was very concerned about the age of those attending the lochs and glens holidays without a receptionist overnight. I was awoken at 01:45 hearing a lady calling “ Ian….. Ian” after 5 minutes I went to see what the issue was and an elderly lady was standing in her nightdress, in the corridor outside her room - locked out- trying to wake her husband. Room 137 I had no means of helping other than to ring the reception number and the call went straight to answerphone so I left a message, asking someone to come and help her. I encouraged her to sit on the little step opposite and wait, expecting help to come. The next morning I saw her at breakfast and her husband had finally woken up much later and let her in When I asked at reception if my call had been registered I was told the phone rang and then cut off- I had definitely left a message. If this is the only way a client can get help overnight I am very concerned that it’s not good enough and actually would put me off joining a lochs and glens holiday. My parents had previously had a number of trips with them - husband and I thought we would see the accommodation before we booked , I now have concerns of the emergency provisions available at the hotels.

Lovely tranquil location . Clean rooms. Helpful staff. Nice building. Good choice of dinner menu.

There were no real problems!

The staff were very friendly and helpful.

I thought the room decor looked a bit old and tired. Very small telly. No biscuits provided in rooms. Mattresses felt a bit old and springy. This is in relation to the price paid. At £140 a night I thought it was a lot to pay for what we got.
