About this cottage rental
The Cottage at The Grange is located on the peaceful Potowomut River. It is a beautiful and newly renovated 2 bedroom (king, 2 twin beds) / 2 full bath home with all the modern amenities and conveniences expected from a luxury short-term rental while maintaining the historic charm of this colonial estate. Cook a gourmet meal in the stocked kitchen or BBQ on the deck. Situated on 11 pristine acres enjoy private tennis/pickleball courts, kayak access to Greenwich Bay and much more!
The Cottage renovations were complete in the Summer of 2023 to increase energy efficiency and make infrastructure/system improvements while adding modern convenience and comfort. The result is a cottage retreat on a beautiful property with much to occupy your time ... or, to completely rest and relax.
The first floor includes higher ceilings, thoughtful and comfortable indoor/outdoor living and dining space with working indoor fireplace, as well as a large bedroom (king size bed) with seating/dressing area and adjacent full bath with shower and bench seat.
The second floor includes pitch ceiling office/telecommuting space, bedroom with 2 twin size beds (firm and soft pillows), and full bath with vintage claw foot bathtub.
Enjoy relaxing on Adirondack chairs at the river's edge overlooking the historic Old Forge Bridge and waterfall off the main front field of the property.
Let us know if you would like to use some pickle-ball rackets and balls, or a life jacket(s) (personal floatation device(s)), paddle/oars, and/or kayaks.
The front porch of The Cottage, gas grill, deck, fire pit and lawn immediately surrounding are maintained for your enjoyment. If you need any assistance with these areas, we are happy to help you.

An amazing weekend celebrating our daughters wedding was enhanced by a stay at this beautiful cottage. Our host Steve was very attentive to every little detail. And a big "Thank You!" for the home made carrot cake! Delicious. The surrounding property allowed for stunning photos of the bride and groom. We are so very appreciative of the space to prepare, as well as the little bit of extra time for check out the last day. Regrouping with family in the morning was more than what we could ever wish for. We look forward to rebooking this space.

The Cottage on the Grange is a beautifully restored 200 year old cottage on a much larger property. Every detail has been thought of, restored and appropriately modernized to make this a cozy stay where you will want for nothing. Modern bathroom downstairs, claw foot bathtub upstairs, all new appliances in the kitchen, great wifi, a front porch swing, and a stylishly decorated home will make it hard to leave.
The cottage is sited back from the road nestled in the trees to give you maximum privacy and quiet. On the property you can kayak down the river to the bay, or play a game of pickleball. As a bonus, you can walk to the neighbor restaurant approximately 10 houses away for lunch or dinner. You are also a short drive away from Main Street/Post Road coffee, shopping and restaurants.
It is only a matter of time before Steve becomes a Premier Host. Everything we needed was ready and available upon our arrival including life vests for kayaking, pickleball rackets, water, wine, coffee, and if you are lucky, maybe some fresh baked goods. Steve was responsive to questions, and even offered to help us move our bags into the home.
It was hard to leave The Cottage on the Grange and we are already looking forward to returning in the future. Highly Recommend!
