Fabulous property. Very tidy and well arranged.

Stairs to the en-suite room is not the easiest to climb.

Location. Easy to park. Staff and facilities were great. Room great. Wi-fi. It's a shared bathroom, but with only another room. All clean and quiet. A 10-minute walk from the town center.

Exceptionally comfortable and clean. She even has a washing machine and helped us use it! There’s a community kitchen. It is very comfortable and has all the appliances that you would need.

Location was good as we had tickets for the Blackfriars art centre and it was in walking distance, room was very modern and clean.

I chose the silk hotel because it stated private parking on arrival I rang the owner as I couldn’t find the car park to be told it is gated and if I parked at the side of the property there was no guarantee that I wouldn’t be blocked in by someone parking on the street. The entrance they were referring to was at by the side of the property there wasn’t a dropped curb and to be honest the curb would be to high to mount without causing damage to the car. I think this feature needs to be removed from their property description. Also when you flush the toilet the is a very strong smell of Sewage which isn’t pleasant but i suppose if there is problems with the drains it can’t be helped but I’m just making people aware.

Everything, it’s a fantastic hotel and definitely will be staying here if we’re ever this way again. FANTASTIC value for money. The hosts go above and beyond and can’t do more than what they do.

Nice modern faciltiy and short walk to town centre (for marathon start as well).

Have to be picky but no mirror in the room, tv had to go through internet rather than straight to Freeview so little more fiddly.

The staff are very helpful and friendly

A great room lots of space with everything I needed. A good equipped kitchen to share with 6 rooms.

Only down side is that the room only has wooden blinds, and at night, they allow in a lot of light. The builders' merchants behind the house have its security lights on all night. Black out curtains would be good.

Brand new build, you could tell time and care had been taken in its design and especially its cleanliness. Everywhere was spotless, the bed was super comfy and I had no issues with noise. The cleaning staff were very helpful and answered my questions about the local area and the host was not only responsive but very kind. At one point, I asked whether there were any local restaurants open as it was late and I needed to order food and the host ordered me a pizza on the house! I’m coming back down soon for work and will be staying here again. Lovely accommodation for both single travellers and families, would highly recommend.

An apparently newly converted property. Excellent finish and presentation. Shared kitchen and dining area for guests where you can prepare your own meals.Comfortable.

TV was not set up and wouldn't connect to wi-fi. Could do with bedside reading lights to save having to get out of bed to turn off light and finding your way back in the dark. The electronic coded entry lock was extremely stiff to open and needs adjustment urgently to avoid new arrivals having to call for assistnce. Owner did not respond to text messages regarding TV not working.

Confusing regarding check in. i have also received a wrong pin for the room key. the wi-fi signal very poor

Spacious, close to centre, good shower and soft towels.

Not as described. Couldn’t get in and didn’t receive any info about front door pas needing 3 finger touch to open it! Fortunately someone was outside the adjoining apartment to help otherwise we wouldn’t have got inside! It took 5 attempts to get into the property at night time. I couldn’t close the front door on one occasion and had to phone my husband to let me in after I’d popped out and the touch keypad wouldn’t work. Booking.com says the unit has city views but the only view we had was a building in front full of scaffolding and a petrol station! It states each unit has a dining area and kitchen which in fact was shared and down 3 flights of stairs. It was well equipped but no information on what could be used as it was shared with other guests. It says each unit had a patio which was also downstairs with no key provided. There was no Wi-Fi in our room yet booking.com states there is Wi-Fi. The road outside was noisy. We weren’t sure where we were to park our car even though Booking.com states there is private parking. The room was extremely hot and minimalistic with no personal touches, for example, pictures on the wall. Pretty bare really. It was good to have double plug sockets next to the bed and there was plenty of space. It was very clean but the toilet hadn’t been flushed by previous guests. It was a decent location but as stated noisy at night.

The room was big and Airy for a twin. The bathroom was lovely and the kitchenette is well stocked. Also nice touch is there is Tea and Coffee. And the accommodation is conveniently near 2 shops and a garage. There is parking for at least 2 cars. The host is amazing, nothing is too much trouble. Always answers texts and phone.

The accommodation is on the High Street so you could hear all the street noise. You got used to it quite quickly though and we were at the front of the house and ground floor. The property is over three floors. So this might not be a problem on other floors

Laura is een fantastische gastvrouw. Er is veel en veilige ruimte voor fietsen. Een uitgeruste keuken inclusief wasmachine is voor fietsers heerlijk. Kamer 12 is geweldig, met als klein nadeel dat je drie trappen moet.

Omgevingsgeluid van de meeuwen is iets minder prettig. Maar dat is dan ook het enige minpunt
