The cottage is well equipped with everything you could need and very well geared for a trip with dogs. The enclosed garden means your dogs are safe to explore and hikes around the farm are picturesque and peaceful. The host even kindly made a plan for us to be able to watch the SA vs New Zealand rugby game by providing wifi. And the outdoor bathroom/shower is AWESOME!

Comfortable, clean, and Sannelie is a great host. Our dog had a fabulous time on the farm.

A lovely farmhouse tucked away far from the city. I’m so glad we chose this beautiful place. Before we arrived, we were told there would be a gravel road leading to the farm. It really wasn’t bad at all—we drove a small car and had no issues. Sarel and Sannelie are some of the kindest hosts we’ve ever met. They made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived and showed us to our lovely, cosy farmhouse, nestled among vast farmland and surrounded by pine trees. The views? Spectacular! Once we had settled in, we lit the outdoor fire and got the welcoming Dover stove going. It was very cold, and the crackling fire made the house wonderfully warm and cosy. There’s no Wi-Fi or TV, but that’s exactly why we came. We spent our evenings playing cards and Monopoly, and browsing through the books in the house. It was the perfect opportunity to disconnect and enjoy each other’s company. The kids loved sitting around the fire, making s’mores and trying to keep warm. The donkey geyser kept the water hot long enough for our family of five to each enjoy a lovely, hot shower. The peace and quiet alone are worth the drive. We loved seeing cows grazing, donkeys wandering around the farm, and at night… the sky came alive with countless stars. It’s the kind of place that reminds you how beautiful nature really is. There’s also a charming outdoor bathroom that is fully functional. I can only imagine how wonderful it would be to enjoy an outdoor shower during the warmer months. We left feeling refreshed, relaxed, and already looking forward to our next visit. We can’t wait to book another stay here.

the view - great fireplace / stove - no traffic, quietness - hospitality was super / great hosts - dog friendly - outside braai area was nice - outside toilet with the view was unique and super cool -

Maybe consider closing the one side of the outside braai area with canvas net to protect against the wind in the evenings when sitting outside .
