Grace Guesthouse

I would definitely recommend this guesthouse in Potchefstroom. * The place is clean and tidy. * All appliances work. * Air conditioning in the room. * Smart TV. - Internet connection was perfect. - Bed was comfortable, with winter sheets. Access codes worked perfectly.

Although this was not a problem at all for me, guests who will be staying for more than three days should be aware that there is not enough wardrobe space. There are only bedside tables with 3 drawers each, 2 drawers under the TV stand, and hooks on the wall for hanging clothes.

Nothing not to like

The location was very central and close to where I had to attend my work function. The unit was pristine in terms of cleanliness and aesthetically pleasing. The landlady was very hospitable.

I was a bit bemused that there no hand soap was provided. In all my travels this has been the first time that I have experienced this, and as a result I could not take a shower or even wash my hands properly. I did query it - I thought it was just an oversight, but the landlady claimed that it would significantly impact the rate that is charged if they to provide it, which really did not sound feasible. As far as tea sachets were concerned, only Rooibos was provided, which is (pardon the pun) not my cup of tea. The breakfast was not pricy but a bit underwhelming.

That It had a nice basin, hot water, utensils and an air-fryer. Air-con helped me with the freezing nights

1. My room was not being cleaned on a daily like they said on the notice pasted on the fridge 2. The shower had no proper drainage so often a foul smell would make its way to the room 3. Atleast put some mosquito repellent in the room because there were so many mosquitoes, lucky I had my repellent with me.
