Hameau du Château de Giverzac, gîtes luxueuses

Le domaine était magnifique ainsi que le château nous avons pu faire de belles promenades. La piscine est également très belle. Malheureusement elle était très fraîche lorsque nous étions là mais elle doit être très agréable l’été ou quand il y a de plus grosses chaleurs, le hameau était vraiment magnifique.

Nous étions seuls dans le hameau et donc il n’y avait pas de service disponible par exemple de petit déjeuner et des odeurs de canalisation

Le hameau est un lieu tranquille et très agréable, nous sommes ravis d'avoir pu prendre quelques jours en famille pour nous reposer et visiter la région Mia est adorable, très attentionnée et on admire son talent pour avoir créer ce lieu magnifique Merci pour son accueil et pour sa gentillesse

C'est un très bel endroit, rénové avec beaucoup de goût et un très bon niveau de confort.

Nous aimons cuisiner et nous avons manqué d'ustensiles.

The bed was extremely comfortable and was king size both a rarity at many rentals. The grounds were beautiful and in warmer weather, the Cyrano unit would be ideal as it is directly across from the pool. Kitchen was large and easy to prepare meals in the space. Mini splits were adequate for heating. The proprietor Mia is delightful. Ask her about the incredible history of this property. There were plenty of plates, bowls etc. Coffee and tea water boiler were excellent. Large refrigerator for a holiday let. This unit is huge and beautifully decorated with gorgeous antiques. Mia has great taste! It's most impressive and very comfortable. The property is very quiet which was lovely. A great place to stay for those who want the comfort of the cottage and amenities like a pool and tennis court close by. Would be great for young families.

It was hard to find. GPS took us to a locked gate but Mia sorted it out quickly. Cottages and this chateau are in a remote location up a narrow road through the woods. If you can handle that though, it is close to many attractions and towns once you get on the main road. And once you get used to it, it's easy to find. There are signs pointing you there. The major issue for me was the huge wood burning fireplace. It would be fabulous lit, which you are encouraged to do, but I have asthma and smoky smells bring ion wheezing. I would caution Mia to change the description from fireplace to wood burning fireplace for health reasons. We opened a lot of windows so it helped but this unit does smell of fireplace smoke. There is a system in place with a fan tor sending the smoke up the chimney. We did not light the fireplace. Nevertheless, the unit does smell of fireplace smoke. Many would consider that a plus! The downstairs powder room has a sewer gas smell which is worse when it rains. Keeping the door shut did help. More cutlery is needed if more than two people and kitchen knives could do with some sharpening. These are small things. Overall this is a beautiful place to stay!
