Comfortable Apartment with Workstation

This is a FANTASTIC DEAL! Prime location in the middle of Manhattan, near lots of really cool neighborhoods! Felt safe and very 'New York'! The gritty walk-up only adds to the NYC vibes. The apartment itself was clean, cozy, and comfortable. It had everything we needed (towels, linens etc). It's private and safe. Makes you feel like you're a real NYC local! Any questions we had were easily resolved over text. The host was friendly but unobtrusive. They answered our messages/questions/concerns quickly and were incredibly kind and accommodating. Overall we were SUPER happy with this apartment. For the price, it was exactly what we were looking for!

Our only complaint was that the couch-bed didn't go all the way flat; the host says she plans to fix/replace this asap! Also, just note that the AC unit is in the bedroom, and the fan in the living room is stuck on the 'rotation' setting. But the AC still did wonders to cool down the apartment during those hot, muggy summer days; we were never too hot. Note too that the bedroom door doesn't close all the way due to the size of the bed, so complete privacy between the living room and the bedroom isn't entirely possible. But as two friends traveling together, this was not a problem for us.

The accommodation was exactly as described. It was clean and comfortable, and there were many thoughtful little touches, such as coffee and snacks.

The stairwell is indeed quite unpleasant, but that is not really their fault, and after a while you get used to it. Guests arriving from Europe should be aware that there is no electrical plug adapter in the apartment, so we had to buy one ourselves.

Good location in terms of transport links, near canal street subway station. The apartment itself is nice and clean, comfortable bed. Overall, it’s good value.

You pick the key up a 10 min walk away from the location, I was given the wrong key and then had to make the trip again. Had to plunge the toilet multiple times, I’m not that fussy but it was an annoyance. Shower is fine, but not the best pressure. The staircase up to the apartment is very dirty, but the apartment itself is clean.

El alojamiento está bien, aunque solo por dentro, es amplio, dormitorio, salón con sofá cama, pequeńa cocina y pequeńo bańo pero para subir hay que acceder por una puerta de un bar, entras a un pasillo super sucio y lleno de basura por el que apenas se puede respirar del olor a grasa, hay que subir 5 escaleras hasta el 2 piso… la anfitriona en principio es muy agradable, me mandó muchos mensajes informándome y me contestaba muy rápido a las dudas, incluso cuando necesite alguna ayuda. Le dejé el apartamento super limpio en agradecimiento y para mi sorpresa cuando me voy me manda un whatsap poniéndome que tengo que pagar 125$ por el servicio de limpieza. DE VERGÜENZA, obviamente ni le contesté ya que me parece un abuso que pagar 800€ por 4 días por un alojamiento en Chinatown, (teníamos que coger el metro todos los días para movernos) y encima me moleste para pedirle más.

Cogí este alojamiento porque quería un apartamento y no encontré más pero sin dudarlo si volviera elegiría sin duda otro más céntrico en Manhattan y más cómodo
