City trip hostel had an smooth check in process with hostel bed number allocated along with option to prepare breakfast in shared kitchen with eatables stored in shared fridge. Staff was friendly and ready to help. Just outside the hostel, a bus stop for Zaanse Schans. Would definately recommend everyone to stay.

The hostel is totally acceptable.
However, pls note that it is located in Zaandam, not Amsterdam.
You need to consider commuting between the 2 cities and also walking from Zaandam station to the hostel.

Dirty toilet and bath room
Location is good
Bed is good
Charge for everything even liquid soap

Bed was separated completely by the curtain, like small pod.
Shower was not so hot, low pressure that’s uncomfortable.
Also, you can’t drink alcohol that bought outside. That should be announced at the reservation time.
