Tabist Chikuba Shinyotei Hakodate Yunokawaonsen

Hotel Interior is beautiful with an inside zen garden and garden views. The traditional premium breakfast was authentic and good quality. You have to be open to trying out new things (especially seafood) though. We liked our big room with own bathroom, a little balcony, lounge area with two chairs and table, a lot of wall cabinets, tea making utensils and fridge. Wish we could have stayed longer to make use of all of that! A lot of bath amenities were provided in the rooms and we received fresh towels, Yukata and Tabi every day. The hotel is quite far from Hakodate port, but Yukura shrine, the airport and Aeon mall are very close. There are also enough public transport options. You can take a stroll next to the river to the beach - wouldn't recommend swimming but we found a lot of interesting things and beautiful shells. Onsen looked nice, but too hot for me (I am sensitive).

Just a small thing that annoys us often with futon bedding is the loose blanket cover with the big hole on top. When you move the blanket it will come off easily which is impractical.
