Luxury Lake Cottage with a rustic vibe just 2.5hrs away from GTA.

We had a wonderful stay at this cottage over New Year’s! The place was cozy, clean, and well-equipped, offering everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. The peaceful surroundings and charming atmosphere made it the perfect spot to unwind and celebrate. The host was friendly and attentive, ensuring we felt right at home. We truly enjoyed our time here and would highly recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a great escape!

I was nervous about booking this property initially-no reviews usually means a no-go for me! The property is fairly easy to get to if you're travelling North on the 400. It took 3.5hrs from Durham Region with traffic. It is bright, open, and feels very clean. 5 bedrooms and 2.5 baths. Wifi - Starlink, was perfect, very fast and reliable Check-in was easy, the host was quick to respond to questions. Lots of space for parking Things to note: a) Saying this property sleeps 18 people is technically true, but if they're all normal-sized/large adults, you will probably be uncomfortable. We had 11 people: everyone got their own bed with the exception of two we put in the Primary room. This is how the rooms are broken down in case you weren't clear on the pictures: Rm 1: 1 King bed, full bathroom ensuite Rm 2: 2 double beds Rm 3: 2 double beds Rm 4: x2 bunk beds (4 beds total) Rm 5: x1 Queen bed b) There is a very steep hill you have to go down to get to the water. If someone in your party has trouble walking, they will struggle with this. There was a lot of seaweed in August around the dock. Boats travel in front of the dock as well (10km/h limit) c) Some of the rooms didn't have curtains - this wasn't nice for those wanting to sleep-in. Some of the guests said they were cold in the night, there weren't enough extra blankets. d) The fire pit area was overgrown and only had 4 chairs. There isn't much flat space to play lawn games Overall, a great place for a large group!
