About this cottage rental
Welcome to Fern Beach Hideaway on Lake Melissa! This new construction 2 bed, 1 bath is a guest house above-garage unit. It is well appointed with new stainless appliances, 2 queen beds, TV's in main living room and in bedrooms. Keurig coffee and maker on the breakfast bar w/bar stools and a dining table.
Other outdoor amenities are a wood burning firepit, hammock, a rivate propane BBQ grill, private outdoor seating area in back, lilly pad, standup paddle board, kayak, sand toys and outdoor dining table (shared w/main cabin). We are minutes from Golf Courses, Restaurants, Bars, Shopping and Grocery.

We had a greatt time.House was clean and very nice inside.Everything we needed was there.My kids had a great time at the beech and fishing from the dock.Jason made my kids day with some fun on the water.We would definitly stay again.

The bunkhouse was beautifully finished and very clean. It worked well for our group, though space is a bit tight if you have 7-8 people and will have to utilize the couch and air mattress. One thing to note—the listing felt a bit misleading. On arrival, we thought we were at the wrong place, as the main cabin (occupied by the homeowners) is front and center. The bunkhouse is located above the garage and shares the yard and fire pit with the main home, so privacy is limited. The homeowners were kind, but there was frequent foot traffic through the shared space, as they are often around. Because of that, this isn’t a private retreat—especially if you’re looking to stay up late or enjoy time by the fire. We even received complaints about being out too late at the firepit, which dampened the experience a bit. If you’re looking for a peaceful, social setting and don’t mind shared outdoor space, this is a clean, well-maintained place to stay. But for those expecting a private lake retreat, it may not be the right fit.

The property was so nice. I was traveling with my sister and my husband and 4 little kids. Everything was well stocked and clean. Owners were so kind and welcoming. Even told us to come down and have a drink with them if we’d like once our kids were in bed. Unfortunately we didn’t get to take them up on the offer because putting the littles to bed after a long day at the lake, had us all exhausted as well. They were very good with communication and honestly I felt that if we needed anything they would have been right there to help. Highly recommend.
