When you leave the Place de l'Horloge on the way out and at the corner of the street on the right, you have the choice of restaurants with excellent Provencal cuisine. Do not forget the municipal museums which are worth the detour and are free!

Avignon TGV station → 16 min by car or 22 min by transport

The apartment is in a superb location within easy reach of the Palaces des Papes and other key attractions. The apartment was modern, artistically decorated and well equipped. Parking was a major issue. Included in the description of the property’s neighbourhood was:
“Your car stays in the underground car park and it's free!”
There is no parking nearby. This was a significant setback as we had planned to park our rental car near the apartment. We ended up returning the car 5 days early. The communication at check-in was brief. The door was opened, the wifi was pointed out and the concierge left. We called the concierge to return as there were 3 locks on the door and only 1 key. This time, the concierge remembered to give us the code to unlock the gate to the building which is locked after 6 pm. It would have been helpful to have better communications, such as an instruction page in the apartment with door and wifi codes, garbage disposal, how to use the washer and any other special instructions. Notwithstanding these challenges, we enjoyed our stay in Avignon.
