About this cottage rental

Rustic, mud brick cottage, perfect for a coast & bush experience on the Sapphire Coast of NSW. Spacious & comfortable.Near Mimosa Rocks National Park. 2 bedrooms, sleeps 4. Abundant birdlife & wildlife. Short drive to pristine beaches. 15 minute drive to local shops/cafes/hotel in Tathra. Cosy pot-bellied wood heater,Cooler fans x 2, Fin heaters x 2. Two plate induction cooktop. Multifunction Microwave. Outdoor drop toilet,suits physically able travellers. Tank collected filtered rain water. Best to shop for supplies before arrival.
Optus coverage. WIFI available.
Driveway not suitable for caravans.
Zappi level 1, EV charger is available on request. 7kW per hour at 55 cents per kWh.

This is truely a retreat. No radio, clock or TV. Just the sounds of nature. A 1.6k unsealed road and a steepish drive, then the cottage is very private. About 8k from the nearest shops. (Tathra) You get used to the drop toilet which is the cleanest we have ever experienced. The internet is excellent and had Kayo on the laptop and music through our portable speaker. The induction hot plate took a bit of getting used to (for the inexperienced) and you need to plan your meals accordingly as this is the only kitchen appliance. A small portable oven would have been good. The mud brick would be cool in the summer. There were plenty of oil heaters and a pot belly we also used to warm our bread on. Pauline and Niel are terrific hosts and we were pleased to hear about their 40 year journey of the property. The property is located in a stunning area of the hinterland. You will be treated to some of Pauline's peach jam, Indian chutney, some local cheese and her home made choc chip cookies are awesome! Generous and kind hosts you need to meet!
