About this house rental
A romantic retreat in a picture-perfect wooden cottage, surrounded by vineyards. This vineyard cottage is the ideal destination for anyone who wants to really escape from it all.
Built and finished in wood, the cottage combines traditional and contemporary architecture. The open-plan kitchen is equipped with an induction hob, oven, fridge, freezer for stress-free cooking. A cosy dining table for 2 is tucked into the corner, for casual dining.
The owners have lavished as much attention on the outside space as they have indoors. On the wooden deck, there is an outdoor table and chairs for meals al fresco. There is also a novel Finnish sauna in a large wine barrel and two comfortable sun beds. The wooden hot tub has fantastic views across the valley. For authentic rustic relaxation, guests can escape to the hay loft and relax under the thatched roof.
Sleeping
Bedroom: The cosy bedroom, next to the living room, is furnished with a double bed.
Bathroom
The modern, bathroom has a shower, basin and WC.
The owners welcome guests to their wine cellar for tasting local wines and trying regional foods. For a nominal fee, guests are given the keys to the wine cellar and can help themselves to wine throughout their stay. Seasonal produce from the gardens is also available. The owners have curated many unique experiences for guests which cover the culture and history of the area. They also offer additional wellness treatments including Indian head massages and acupressure.

Location
In secluded countryside, the cottage is less than 10 minutes from the charming town of Otocec on the banks of the Krka River. Otocec is famous for its island castle. The town also has some excellent restaurants and cafés. Visitors can stock up on their daily provisions from the local shops. For golfers, the local course is 15 minutes from the cottage.
There are many activities for adventurous travellers including skydiving, rafting or canoeing, hiking and cycling. For something more relaxed, the area is known for its thermal waters and the spa town of Smarjeske Toplice is less than 10 minutes away.
The cottage is halfway between Ljubljana (50 minutes) and Zagreb (1 hour). Both capitals make fascinating day trips.
Ljubljana’s international airport is 1 hour 5 minutes away. Otherwise, Zagreb airport in Croatia is 55 minutes.

We had a lovely stay on Slovenia. Our Host was very nice and we enjoyed the wine tasting that he offered. We had very nice waether and enjoyed the Hikes in the Area.
