About this house rental
Our 4,500 square foot luxurious 4-5 bedroom home we rent (not rental home) is located on a bluff overlooking the shores of Lake Michigan. An elegant home with a stunning array of windows fills this home with light and views of the Lake from almost every room. This home has four private bedrooms, each with its own private bath, loft sleeping area, and a fully finished basement with six built-in twin trundle beds and a queen Murphy bed that can be partitioned off to a private 5th bedroom with full size bathroom and laundry access. The basement is also equipped with a theater area, and ping pong / pool table.
The just over 100 stairs to the private sandy beach are located out the door and across the sprawling lawn. The home also includes a hot tub, saltwater swimming pool (open Memorial Day - Labor Day), outdoor shower, fire pit, wrap around deck with gas grill & large sweeping lawn (all having stunning unobstructed views of Lake Michigan).
The swimming pool is equipped with a high-end Aqua Rite salt chlorination system that automatically tests and monitors the water quality and adjusts (if need be) continuously. This system eliminates the need for non-environmentally friendly, unhealthy dousing of chlorine chemicals each week. Pool heat is available for an additional cost. Swimming pool opens Memorial Day Weekend and closes Labor Day Weekend.
Fire pit available directly off the back deck overlooking Lake Michigan.
Other features include four large screen smart TV's, wireless internet access, board games, Sub Zero refrigerator, drip coffee, Keurig and percolator, beach chairs, Adirondack firepit chairs, pool table / ping pong , hotel size toiletries in every bathroom, two washers, three dryers, gas grill, microwave, patio furniture and air conditioning. Can sleep up to 19.
Located between South Haven and St. Joseph, each of which are 10–15 minute drive. Union Pier/ Sawyer area to the south and Saugatuck to the north are 20-30 minutes away. Numerous wineries, breweries and golf courses are nearby along with many other available activities.

Many steps/stairs to the beach but we enjoyed the climb! Great beach, water clear. Saw very little people on the beach, it felt private. Plenty of beach chairs you can carry on your back which makes it supper easy on the stairs.
Not for light sleepers unless you are all waking up and going to bed around the same time. Anything going on on the msin floor can be heard in the basement or on the 2nd level. As long as you and your guests are cinsiderate it eachother, this may not be an issue.

I can’t convey enough how great our time spent here was. Our family of 18 were accommodated very well with the amenities this house and property offered. Very spacious with privacy both inside and out. We would definitely recommend this place for large groups. Thanks again to this home!
