Relaxation, stress free living and having fun with friends & family is what vacations are all about. Welcome to the "Happy Place." Book a stay at this quiet, relaxing waterfront home in New Durham and enjoy the solitude, peacefulness and experience the lasting memories you'll have at this 4 bedroom, 3 1/2 bath home situated on a waterfront lot. Spend the day hiking nearby trails, swimming, fishing, paddle boat and canoeing from our private beach or take a short drive to Lake Winnipesaukee, Wolfeboro, and nearby shopping at "The Ridge." At the end of the day, enjoy the breathtaking sunsets from the porch as you relax and plan for the next day's adventures. The property is located a short drive from Gunstock Mountain Resort for all your winter fun.
The home sleeps 10 and is well suited for family getaways, with plenty of activities & games for the kids including badminton, ladder toss, corn hole and horseshoes. Indoor games include puzzles, board games, and pool table. Free Wi-fi, smart TVs, washer/dryer on site with fully equipped kitchen including stainless steel appliances, coffee maker, flatware, dishware, toaster, and microwave.
Property is centrally located to many of New Hampshire's favorite tourist attractions such as Weirs Beach, Gilford Entertainment Center, hiking at Mount Major, and Alton Bay where the Mt. Washington will give you a great trip around Lake Winnipesaukee.
During the winter and early spring, the property is located a short 20 minute drive from Gunstock Mountain Resort. The Resort has plenty of winter programs for the entire family. They have 49 trails, 8 lifts, cross country, night skiing and programs for children 4 and up including ski lessons. Visit www.gunstock.com for all the details. After an active day, you know you'll be back at the "Happy Place" awaits you to provide that peaceful, quiet, relaxing setting that you deserve. From start to finish we had such an amazing stay. The property was even better than advertised, the pictures although gorgeous cannot capture what the property is. We will be renting again as everyone had such a great time. We were close enough to see what we wanted to see but honestly we could have stayed at the property the entire time there was plenty to do and see. Looking forward to returning!!

Can’t even put into words of how perfect this house is. The home is fully equipped with everything you need for a fun and relaxing vacation. Truly feels like a home away from home with comfortable furniture and beds, necessary appliances, indoor and outside games, and more. It is very private, yet close to many different attractions and things to do. It was the perfect size for our family of 6 adults and 1 child (could easily sleep even more). The house had many different things to do, see, and places to relax. You can tell the home is truly loved and cared for. The home was extremely clean, and the owners were responsive and had great hospitality. Thank you for sharing your Happy Place with us, we can confidently say it served as our Happy Place as well for the week. Will definitely be renting here again!

What a fabulous home, property, and host! Paul was a prompt, thoughtful, warm communicator from the time of our booking nearly a year before our arrival. We appreciated his willingness to answer our nuanced questions.
The home was beautiful, light-filled, and spotless. It was extremely well stocked with toiletries, towels, dishes, cookware to make full meals, and so much more. He really thought of everything. Additionally, we can’t thank Paul enough for the thoughtful touches, like the S’mores treat. The kids absolutely loved them - almost as much as they adored being able to play in the water and on the private sandy beach. The views of and cool breeze fromMarch’s pond were extraordinary. We can’t wait to return to this one-of-a-kind wooded paradise. Thank you for everything, Paul!
