About this cabin rental
Come stay in our vintage 1960s completely refurbished fishing cabin situated on the north shore of Harlan County Reservoir between Hunter and Methodist Coves.
Our two bedroom, 1.5 bath cabin is perfect for a fun, relaxing stay and boasts a spectacular view of the lake! The lake's north shore is steps away for hiking, exploring, bank fishing, kayaking, etc. (when dry conditions are favorable).
The 960 sf cabin accommodates four guests very comfortably.
There is a 120 sf concrete covered porch at the front door of the cabin where you can relax in the big wicker chairs.
The 250 sf deck outside the dining area patio door has a gas grill and an umbrella table with four chairs. You’ll be amazed at the bird watching and wildlife viewing opportunities from your vantage point on the deck.
The big backyard is the perfect place for your yard games -- be sure to bring them along!
This is an ideal set-up for the fishing tournament team, with exterior electricity availability and a long brick driveway that will accommodate four vehicles or two pick-ups with boats and trailers.
The large open kitchen/living area has comfortable furniture, a smart TV with Dish Network (no Wi-Fi), and a dining table with four chairs.
The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to eat-in, along with a full-sized refrigerator, 30” range with an oven, a small microwave, coffeepot and other small appliances (crockpot, toaster, electric skillet, etc.).
If you choose to go out, there are many restaurant/bar options in nearby Republican City and Alma.
Both bedrooms have new queen beds, nightstands, and large closets with deep drawers to stow away all of your gear.
The main bathroom has a sink/vanity, toilet and shower. There is a half bath adjoining Bedroom One with a sink/vanity and toilet.
Bed linens, kitchen and bathroom towels are furnished.
There is a central air-conditioner/heating unit that comfortably cools/heats the cabin, along with a small electric ‘fireplace’ space heater in the living room.
Water is provided by a domestic well. If you prefer, you may bring bottled water for drinking and/or cooking.
Guests have access to the entire cabin and large yard. The storage barn on the premises is not available for guest use.

What a charming and comfortable cabin by the lake! Hosts Deb and Dave gave us a warm welcome by having twinkle lights aglow, a personal welcome note, and a gift card to a local shop. They were very quick to respond when a fuse needed flipping, and very pleasant to chat with. We enjoyed grilling burgers, playing cards and relaxing on the beautiful deck. We watched water fowl and fish playing in the water. The stars at night were an extrabonus. All these things together made our stay restful and relaxing. Such a lovely peaceful place!

The property was perfect for a lake visit. The deck overlooks the lake and is shaded morning and evening. Perfect to enjoy coffee early morning. Everything was spotless. We were not familiar with Harlan Dam and we loved that the property was very close to our camper families. It was a quick trip to Methodist Cove. Conveniently located between Republican City and Alma and a very short drive to North Shore Marina.
