About this villa rental
Comfortable, spacious and relaxing, this is the perfect space for getaways or family gatherings. This 1880s historic red brick former church has been lovingly renovated and is situated on a half acre just 5 minutes from downtown Kemptville ON. This beautiful property is close numerous outdoor adventure spots including the Ferguson Forest, the Rideau River, the South Nation River and the mighty St. Lawrence River.
This self check-in converted church has everything you need for a relaxing retreat. With beautiful pine floors and a spacious open concept living area, you’ll have plenty of space to recharge and enjoy some down time. The main floor features 30-foot ceilings and 8 foot high windows. For the colder months there is a cozy instant-on fireplace. The large gourmet kitchen allows the chef to be part of the conversation and is perfect for entertaining.
There are 4 bedrooms, including a queen bedroom on the main floor, a queen bedroom and a king bedroom on the lower level. The upstairs loft area has a semi private bedroom with a queen bed. There is also a Murphy bed in the lower level study. For extra guests, the living room couch on the lower level converts to a double bed.
The lower level features 9 foot ceilings and warm cork flooring throughout. The lower level also features a kitchen, a living area and two 4 piece bathrooms, both with jetted tubs. The main floor 3 piece bathroom features a large walk in shower. The lower level also features a 4 person Infrared sauna for health and relaxation.
There is a laundry/mud room with a full sized washer / dryer tower on the main floor. Air conditioning and ceiling fans will keep you cool in the summer months. High Speed Wifi Fibre internet is perfect for remote work situations — you can get away and get your work done at the same time!
In summer the deck area is perfect for BBQing. Dinner salads can be harvested just in time for dinner.

We had family from overseas and wanted a simple family reunion and what we got was a beautiful experience!Liz, the host was so prompt at responding and gave us intel of the area. The conversion of a church into a home felt special. The high ceilings, decor, space, sleeping arrangements and beds were beyond comfortable.Thank you for making this reunion so special.

Just spent 2 nights at this amazing location with another family, and have nothing but good to say about the experience. It simultaneously feels like you're living in a piece of history (I mean really, a church build in late 1800s!) and yet everything about the interior space is modern, functional, comfortable, and luxurious. Owners were responsive and helpful, the kitchen is fully stocked with all the tools needed to cook simple to gourmet, plenty of places to sleep for our large group, and both indoor and outdoor areas to hang out and play games. Kids said it was their favorite place that we stayed on our 10-day trip. Highly recommend!

We were a group of 8 canoeing the Rideau canal in stages. We were looking for a rental that would accommodate all of us and parking for our cars and canoes. We certainly found it in this Country Church. There was sufficient bathrooms and shower facilities, great shared kitchen, outdoor barbecues, and deck. The only amenity we missed was a microwave oven.
