Westgate Garden riverside

Apartment lovely!! Check in was easy and good communication from owner. The accomodation was very clean and so well presented. Much bigger space than expected and had all facilities needed and a great location to explore the town of canterbury. To be honest a little gem of a place and will certainly recommend to friends and family. I will definitely be coming back again soon.

The apartment was extremely well maintained, had everything a guest might need, was very comfortable and provided a very homey flair together with a warm welcome by the host - the pictures don’t lie. The apartment is as the name suggests very close to the Tower Gate along the (small) riverside and hence just at the entrance to the old town and a short walk away from the Cathedral. The communication with our host Andy was always swift, smooth and forthcoming and the idea of a guest book added to the feeling of being a guest at a friend’s house rather than a stranger/tourist just renting a flat anonymously.

Being located directly at the former old city walls, the traffic circumventing this part of town was just ‘outside the window’ and therefore a bit noisy. The staircase/hallway in the building was not very inviting since it hadn’t been cleaned for quite a while and a bicycle was parked and one of the landings, hence somewhat in the way but everything was made up for once you opened the door to the apartment.

Great location. Clean and comfortable. Andy was an exceptional host. He went out of his way to meet us when we were not sure about Location and carried our luggage up the stairs for us.

No negatives about the property.

The accommodation was lovely. We could tell that the owner was very thoughtful of the visitors' experience. The facilities were great. We particularly appreciated how the rooms were laid out - each bedroom was on its own level with its own designated bathroom. The location was perfect.

Our only disappointments were: the over-complex microwave; and no terrestrial tv
