Downtown Bar Harbor Rental Home ~ 1 Mi to Acadia!

The home is charming and in an excellent location. It is very clean. The kitchen was very well stocked.

Hotter than usual in Maine, so the house was a bit warm without AC. Having a toilet on the 1st floor would be great.

It's very nicely decorated and has all the amenities we needed. The location couldn't be better - walkable to all Bar Harbor locations and close to the Acadia entrance. We also loved that the host was exceptionally promptly responsive to questions.

The downstairs bedroom is very chilly at night.

Absolutely fantastic in so many ways. Spotlessly clean. The house has had a quality renovation so everything felt really solid and luxe. Many thoughtful details. Loved the gas stove in the living room. Heating was excellent and fast. Most every window, mult per room, has a screen so we could enjoy the warm autumn breezes. All rooms very spacious, room to spread out. Top notch appliances--even a rice cooker and coffee bean grinder. Beautiful decor that doesn't get in your way. Extra-fluffy, practically brand-new towels. LOVED all the games and made good use of them. Front porch is the perfect little spot to sit out with coffee in the morning, tea in the afternoon. Beautiful, shady front garden. Quiet inside the house. RIDICULOUSLY close to everything downtown. It's hard to gauge from the map but it's like 5-7 min walk to town. So close.

The mattress in the primary bedroom has a ditch down the middle so annoyingly, we rolled toward each other all night. The couch cushions totally flat but that didn't bother us much. Couch and chair very LOW to the ground so Mom had to sit at the table when we were having cozy morning time. (Not too comfy.) An option for her would have been nice. Took 4 days to get a message reply from Evolve, the management company, so don't be in a hurry for information, but they put us in touch with the local contact, Becky, who was just beyond amazing. Wish we'd have known that the only bathroom is upstairs--in that regard it is a bit tough going for anyone with mobility issues. They will have to do the stairs mult x per day. A mirror for the people in the downstairs bedroom would be a thoughtful addition.

Very comfortable and well appointed home. Kitchen was fantastic.

Shades on the bedroom windows would be helpful - there is a motion light on the church outside the master bedroom windows that came on repeatedly. Blinds or shades would have helped.
