Fantastic little cottage in a wonderful village with a great pub (The Old Gate Inn). Welcome hamper on arrival was an added bonus
The only minor drawback is the road in front of the cottage is surprisingly busy and noisy. But this was a tiny inconvenience that won't stop us returning as soon as we get the chance.

Great location for Carsington Waters, Matlock Bath (Lovers Walks), Alpacas, Thors Cave, Stepping Stones. Village had two pubs. Cosy feel to the cottage with great views from the patio. Hosts left wine and biscuits which was a nice touch.
Toilet flush took 3 goes . Creaky double bed.

The location of the property is absolutely perfect! Such a cosy little cottage with a lot of welcoming gifts such as biscuits, wine, teas, coffees, logs etc.
Only thing I would change is to have bigger beds. If you’re over 6ft then you may find the double room a little uncomfortable.
