Dale End Cottage, Brassington

Dale end cottage is in a great position on the edge of the village with a beautiful view and has street parking outside the cottage. The kitchen plus utility room are well equipped with everything we needed (and more). Being an old stone cottage it stayed cool even in the heatwave. Brassington itself is a great base from which to explore the peaks and has many footpaths fanning out from the village itself so we hardly used the car during our 4 day stay. We found the villagers very friendly and welcoming and enjoyed several meals in the Old Gate Inn, a pub that also has a tiny shop inside selling basic essentials plus delicious ice cream!

We managed fine but the steps down to the back door and internal stairs are quite steep.

The shower head leaked very badly

This is a lovely little home from home in a lovely quiet Village. It had everything you need and more, Really enjoyed our stay. The owners were very accommodating when we had to change our plans.

As mentioned quite a few times by other people who have stayed, the Flush on the toilet isn't good enough and the Master Bed is a little on the hard side. It is a shame these haven't been looked in to as it would get more 10 out of 10 ratings.
