Sea breeze houses

Our stay was truly wonderful and exceeded our expectations. The house is very spacious, neighboring two other similar properties. It consists of two bedrooms (each with its own bathroom) and a kitchen–living room area in the middle. In my opinion, it can comfortably accommodate more than four people. Outside, there is a beautiful terrace with a pool. The pool is more for leisure and relaxation than full swimming, but it serves its purpose perfectly. Around it, you’ll find sunbeds and an outdoor sofa. The terrace is accessible from every room, which is very convenient, and it offers wonderful views of the sea. The kitchen is fully equipped, as are the other rooms. The house is located directly on the beach, so you can easily go for a swim and return to relax by the pool. The beach is rocky, as is the sea access, but it’s very clean and wonderfully quiet—almost as if you are on a deserted island. The sea can sometimes be wavy and a bit difficult to swim in. Beach sunbeds are also available at the accommodation to take with you. If you prefer a sandy beach, there is one at Monolithos, though in our opinion it’s not as nice as the local one. There are a few restaurants and grocery stores within walking distance, but better restaurants are a bit farther away. A rental car is highly recommended, as the main Santorini attractions are not within walking distance. That said, we did notice that the bus service runs frequently, with bus stops located all around the island. Finally, we would like to sincerely thank our host, Beathrice, for waiting until 1 AM to check us in (our flight was delayed by three hours) and for kindly offering us a ride from the airport in case our rental car booking fell through.

The location near the airport was perfect for us. With flights departing or arriving every 10 minutes, it was an absolute treat for aviation enthusiasts like us. However, more sensitive guests might find the noise a bit disturbing. For us, the accommodation itself was the highlight of our stay. The island itself doesn’t offer an overwhelming amount of things to do or see, but this lovely house more than makes up for it. If we return to Santorini, it would be just to enjoy another stay here.

Läget var prefekt för oss som ville ha en lugn vistelse. Det låg nära flygplatsen men det var inget som störde. Värden Beatrice var vänlig och hjälpte oss med allt som vi behövde hjälp med. Bil rekommenderas då taxi är dyrt på ön! Gångavstånd till 3-4 restauranger och en liten minimarket vilket var prefekt. Boendet var mysigt och det mesta fanns. Jätteskönt att ha en egen pool att svalka sig i och poolkillen Ben som kommer nästan varje dag för att göra rent är väldigt trevlig! Vi kommer gärna tillbaka!

Skulle önska mer köksredskap som en till kniv att skära med då det bara fanns en brödkniv.
