About this house rental
This quiet homestead is the perfect place for you to immerse yourself into the high desert. With plenty of Joshua Trees surrounding it, you’ll have no problem enjoying the whimsical desert landscape. Perfect for remote work or exploring the sights. You’ll be sure to make some remarkable memories while escaping to the serenity of the desert.
The space
The house is located at the end of a private drive situated on top of a hill within the lush desert landscape. It has an open concept kitchen, living room, and designated workspace. All of it is flooded with natural light from the vaulted ceilings, creating a truly welcoming experience.
Built in 1958, this original homestead has a queen size bed in the quaint bedroom for any cowboy or cowgirl to relax in at the end of the day. The living room couch pulls out into a twin for an additional guest. We heard that the bathroom sink and toilet are good friends, thus why they are close together.
Outside you will find amazing views of Big Bear, as well as Joshua trees surrounding the property. The fenced backyard with an outdoor dining space is perfect for enjoying legendary desert sunrises, sunsets and star filled nights.
While you are not out and about enjoying Joshua Tree National park (only 11 minutes away!), there are plenty of activities within the home. Get cozy in front of the indoor fireplace on those chilly winter nights, or play games around the table. You’re minutes from countless hiking trails, restaurants, vintage shopping, and much more.
Guest Access
Large driveway to the side of the house. Remote lock enabled. Guests are free to access the entire property except the other freestanding home on the lot. Plenty of parking for 1 or 2 cars.

Wi-Fi is available at the property.
There is a Fire TV with multiple popular streaming apps. These apps do require independent login.
Cooling is provided with an evaporative cooler. There is also a fan located in the bedroom for additional cooling.
Heating is provided primarily through the wall heater, but the fireplace does provide localized heat to the living room.
